if they win power in the general election, will this change your stance on voting in the local elections??

But millions don’t vote in UK elections. Don’t think they complain. Completely disengaged more likely.

It won't stop them moaning and sneering from the sidelines.

ronib Tue 14-Apr-26 16:16:27

I think it’s the activists who make all the noise and they presumably vote?

I have yet to meet anyone who would Vote Reform, or admit to it.
Not a hope of me every voting that way.

I have never met anyone who would admit to voting reform either. I definatly would not, but people were not shy about admitting it on the local news.

Does anyone know what Reform's policy is on prescription payments?
Farage favours Trump, so I imagine he likes his policies too.
Trump has cut medical funding in the US.
Would Farage do that as well?

Are you a new poster, Infoman?

No, infoman often posts info!!

Reform can take their Triple Lock and stick it where the sun don't shine 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵

Apologies for vulgarity but it's in a TV advert at the moment suggesting putting old-fashioned notions about retirement—such as being too old to travel, not having a sense of humour, or being frail - or being easily led by Reform! "where the sun don't shine".

It is murky. Health is devolved, and there is a difference between what Reform are saying for Wales, and the Farage camp.

Were I to vote I definitely wouldn’t vote for Forage, but I think comments about people voting for his party being thick knuckle draggers are very snobbish and hateful. Those are the sort of comments that actually persuade people to vote for the buggers.

I agree!

It's a vile comment, I agree and suggests a limited vocabulary.

Would I vote for them if if they gave me a million£ Bluebelle? Well, could I abandon my principles, make promises like them then change my mind in the ballot box? Would that make me as bad as them even if I gave the money to charity? 🤔

There’s no need to justify yourself on here, you and millions of others will vote Reform when the time comes and whatever happens is the result of democracy.😃

That's what happened in Germany in 1933 - so that's OK then.

I have seen this so many times, comparing Reform to Nazi Germany, its so predictable and boring.

Maremia Tue 14-Apr-26 16:51:46

Perhaps it would help if Reform voters posted about how Reform differs from Nazi Germany.

madeleine45 Tue 14-Apr-26 16:53:46

Reform are an appalling lot and I would NEVER vote for them. In any case they are doing the old thing of "jam tomorrow and jam yesterday but never jam today!" they are prepared to offer anything that might appeal to the selfish as they are unlikely to ever be in a position to be expected to stick to their promises. (Anyway we have already seen from things so far that none of them can be trusted as far as you could throw them!!)

Maremia Tue 14-Apr-26 16:56:08

The reason I asked upthread about prescription charges is, after shopping in Boots, I noticed the queue at the Pharmacy. Mostly Elderlings. Mostly being handed bags and bags of medicines.
I wondered how much they would have to pay for similar essentials in the US?

Well said!

Whilst many of us want the boats to stop, for different reasons, I’ve heard zero about the “how” from Reform!

Indeed.
And of course we shouldn’t forget that Brexit made the small boats situation a hundred times worse due to ceasing cooperation with the EU. And who masterminded Brexit - the snake oil salesman himself.
He hasn’t clue how to deal with the small boats issue and in true Farage style will probs just make matters worse then blame others, like his best buddy Trump.

Well said Falling Star, I'm so heartened by the majority opinion on this thread. Reform are a bunch of corrupt, racist, misogynist, opportunist crooks. No way would they get my vote.

I have read that Brexit did not in fact make the small boats crisis worse, as the UK was not returning many migrants before Brexit anyway. Its posts like this which are inaccurate, which influence others even though they are factually incorrect.

Smileless2012 Tue 14-Apr-26 17:04:59

Nothing could induce me to vote reform.

I will vote for them anyway. I am not going to justify myself on this forum, sufficient to say I hope they can bring the change needed to this country, stopping illegal immigration and taking the UK out of the EU properly. I do not wish to have a great leftie pile on please.

You’re doing the very thing you accuse others of doing.

One doesn’t have to be a “leftie” to not wish to vote for Reform.

I’m just interested, if you’re able/willing to respond, just exactly “how” Reform will prevent Asylum Seekers entering the Country illegally, and why on earth you feel we, as the UK, should further distance ourselves from those sharing our continent and our closest allies and neighbours?

What am I doing Cossy which is the very thing I am accusing others of doing? I was not aware I was being accusing, just that I do not wish to be attacked by vociferous Reform hating posters. Please do not describe me as being accusing as this is unfair and untrue.

Maybe because it's relevant. Oreo wrote of democracy. The Nazis were legitimately and democratically elected. How is that not relevant? People who dismiss historical fact say a lot about themselves.

No they need to take a long jump, they are vile, misogynist, far right, racist and a huge blot on our country, they could give me a million pounds and I d still never feel different.

not keen then?

The connection is democracy. Oreo claimed if Reform get to form a government, it's fine because it would be the result of democracy. All I did was point out that the Nazis came to power in 1933 as the result of democracy.

I can't really explain it any more simply. If you still don't understand, I suggest you do some research into the 1930s.

Any other connection is fantasy or wishful thinking on your part.

If I were a Reform voter I wouldn’t bother too much about the insults on this thread nor would I engage in those disingenuously worded questions about ‘ genuinely wanting to know’ when in fact it’s just a waiting game to tear a Reform voter to shreds. If a poster doesn’t want to engage further than a ‘ yes I shall be voting Reform’ that’s up to them.
