I am 80 years old with RA, and have recently found my walking speed had slowed. I usually walk every morning, and I also belong to a village walking group which is no longer a pleasure as I struggle to keep up. I therefore decided to take up Interval Walking to hopefully increase my stamina. I have only tried it twice then the hot weather hit and I have hardly walked at all due to the 38C temperatures. However, I did feel a slight improvement and it stopped me just strolling. I intend to continue if/when the temperature allows.
