I am going to follow your thread as my daughter is in the same situation. I did look on line at Ripple mattresses used for bed bound people and they look interesting . About 90.00. She has a topper which sometimes helps and sometimes not. So I dont think her memory foam topper one is the asnwer ro her problem with too firm a mattress.
Mattresses are so expensive now. Even basic ones. And the wool ones etc are very pricey... but fine if they suit.
I can't remember having such a problem 20 years or so ago when we bought a new one.
Probably need a new one. But I shall put that off for as long as possible.
I shall keep an eye on your answers.
