I sort of see the parallels with Charlie Hebdo FriedGreenTomatoes. Charlie's mission is to polarise public opinion and to feed the debate about the freedom of expression.
It's been 10 years now, January 2015, since the attack at Charlie's offices, yet it has risen back again and still going strong. A bit like Monsieur Trump!

This reads rather like victim blaming. As if making cartoons that satirise something religious is deserving of murder. I find that a lot more shocking than anything Trump has done however vulgar and inappropriate for a person in his position.

I think he has behaved disgracefully, not that this should come as a surprise. However, he really has sunk to a new low with this latest stunt and it must be very distasteful to Catholics. As a practising Christian, although not a Catholic, I also find it detestable behaviour.

To those who say it's a joke. Do this. Imagine your loved one has been dead just a few days. Now imagine Trump is their attire doing something they loved. Perhaps holding their grandchildren on Easter. Nothing sinister. But... painful. And WHY? To ridicule? It's esp hurtful because, in spite of his many deluded Christian followers (he is their Golden Calf), Trump personifies the antithesis of Jesus. While Francis did his best, even with the constraints imposed on him, to follow the LIGHT.
