Scorpion in Shein delivery!

If someone is taking the time to pass on their clothes though, and they benefit another person, and raise money for a charity, then they are no different from a Chanel item being donated.

We get a lot of Shein clothes come into the charity shop and you know immediately without looking for a label They really aren’t good on the whole, good looking but poor quality.
I can’t bring myself to buy off them when I read the ways the workers are treated and no I don’t think they are treated equal to other famous name companies although I know many aren’t good Temu is the other one I am tempted to buy for their really cute knick knacks but won’t because of their treatment but I want them gone and I can’t be part of them

It's a pity all retailers loopholes aren't examined. (Ooh err, missus!)

The EU is looking at the Temu/Shien loophole but it won't work straight away I think, reading this.
Hope we follow suit if they do yhough!

This is how Shein tax dodge

It has recently been alleged that Shein, the China based, fast fashion company has been benefiting from an import duty tax exemption “loophole” which means UK import duty is not charged on goods worth less than £135, which are sent direct to its customers from overseas

What calm and sensible students they were. Instead of panicking they used kitchen tongs to place the scorpion in a plastic container with holes punched in the sides and even thought to provide water via soaked kitchen roll which it drank.

Zara
Zara is a Spanish fashion brand that belongs to the group Inditex. While the brand uses recycled packaging and has a textile recycling program, it is not transparent about the number of resources that go into the production of its clothes.

We also do not know if it’s on track to meet its target to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. A positive point is that Zara’s supply chain is less opaque compared to other fast fashion brands. The company revealed a list of suppliers, but not for its whole supply chain.

It’s conducting audits of subcontractors to review if they’re following their Code of Conduct, but results aren’t entirely public. The company also doesn’t pay its garment workers living wages. In 2017, Zara customers in Istanbul found secret messages in clothing. They were written by garment workers who claimed they had to work for free before the manufacturer producing clothes for Zara went bankrupt.

Barbie dolls made in China and apparently the workers assembling them for Mattel earn a pittance. $2 an hour I think.
Puts me off buying them for L’il Miss. and ‘Ted Baker’ stuff for her parents.

My clothes don't go into landfill - I've never posted on here that I have so many pairs of shoes or boots, (or anything) that I can't count, or am ashamed to say.

Yes, same here. I very rarely buy new clothes - I'm currently sitting here in a top which is older than my son (and he's 29!), but I do admit to buying holiday clothes from Shein and I've just bought a couple of warm sweatshirts from them too - cheaper than even the supermarket stuff. And I can assure you, there's nothing wrong with my brain!

It's not the only scorpion that's been found, apparently.
