I can't stand anything on my feet. When I'm indoors I always go barefoot

Barefoot or flipflops even in winter. My feet are happier when not enclosed. Hiking sandals rather than boots when walking or hiking.

I like those slipper sock things in the cooler weather and they are cheap enough that you can chuck them and get a different colour if you get sick of them. You can get them for about $5 or $6 here( couple of pounds or so )

Slippers every time. I can’t bear having bare feet although it is ok with socks or stockings.

Slippers all year round.

Summer ones, then winter ones.

Can’t abide bare feet.

Crocs ...Inside...outside.... upstairs... downstairs. Never off my feet. So comfy but my friends and family despair of my 'fashion style'

Always slippers, but different ones according to the time of year.

Bare feet in Summer, slippers in Winter and half'n'half in Spring and Autumn (depending on the weather).

When I was about 12 years old I was barefoot in my bedroom and I stepped on a needle hidden under my bed. I had the needle removed from the ball of my foot between my 4th and 5th toes. I never walk barefoot I always have decent slippers on.

No shoes indoors ever, but usually bare feet in the warm, slippers in the cold!

Was there not another thread about this a few days ago?

Always barefoot until too cold then woolly socks

Shoes unfortunately. I wish I could walk in bare feet or slippers! I have mortons neuromas under both feet so need cushioned footwear all the time - also a left foot problem. I actually had quite a bad injury to that foot wearing slippers once as well!

Barefoot? Only in hot climates. Here we have slippers. So miss 70s shag pile.

I'm obliged to go barefoot as I have oedema (swollen feet and ankles) and after 4 years I rather enjoy being barefoot. My feet are never cold. However I do have to nag visitors to leave their outdoor shoes in the hall and just wear their socks, as with the best will in the world they do tend to bring in bits of grit or tiny pebbles.
Now perhaps someone will tell me an aesthetic alternative to wearing outdoor slippers (usually men's!) when I have to go out, as I can't get my feet into anything else!

slipper boots in winter cos I'm always freezing ! Bare feet in summer ..when we get one !!

colliemum Tue 01-Oct-24 09:00:01

Birkenstocks always, until it's too cold, then maybe crocs with socks.

JamesandJon33 Tue 01-Oct-24 11:09:24

colliemum Latest thing apparently, is closed toe Birkenstocks Boston, I think. With thick socks. We might become uber trendy,

I used to go bare foot a lot when I was young - in and out -but now I use slippers or shoes indoors depending on what I'm doing.

i always wore ballerina slippers until i got plantar fasciitis, the physio said that was the cause of it so on advise i have to wear what my son calls granny slippers with a thick heel, they also need to be velcro fastening due to lymphedema. the physio also said the damage would have started years ago because i went about in bare feet.

I wear whatever my fussy (but strong and healthy) feet demand I wear. Always have, always will. Stilettos and pointy toes can go to hell. I've never understood the attraction of such damaging footwear.

Bare feet indoors and out, only wear shoes outside from the garden gate

crazyH Mon 28-Oct-24 21:08:34

Slippers always and when it’s cold, socks as well.

Bare feet in summer, slippers in winter. I have sliders by the back door to pop out into the garden in.
I like guests to remove their outdoor shoes when visiting.
