Phone call a week ago, purporting to be from Barclays Fraud dept. Had I lost my card ending in xxxx? No. Had I made payments of around £7k and £3k to Virgin Holidays and EasyJet holidays?
No again.
Had I been in Liverpool lately?
No again.
I didn’t give any info, just confirmed a couple of facts, but pretty soon thought it sounded iffy and hung up. However he had sounded pretty genuine, U.K. RP accent.
Today online dh has seen several attempted transactions with Uber (I’m not registered with them though he is) each one for £0k.
Contacted Barclays legit fraud dept, both our cards now cancelled. I do wonder where he got my details from, though. I don’t use that card very much (if they take it I prefer the BA Amex for the air miles!) but do always use it for my fairly (too!) frequent orders to Wool Warehouse.
