Some of you seem to be having hot weather. I started in basic black joggers and t shirt to wear round the garden but have just come in to get a sweater.I will have to change later for visitors and am thinking green linen trousers and a striped top.
Baking grandsons birthday cake today in stocking humid temps so it might sound odd but am just wearing a sarong with nothing underneath. Of course am not answering the door or doing FaceTime.
Still wearing shorts but with a tee shirt today, rather than sleeveless top, because it’s a bit cooler. Still wearing my underwear, as always, but obviously changed since yesterday.
It’s cool, breezy and fresh in Wales today, but the sun is shining. I’m tackling a marathon ironing pile with Gransnet and the Olympics distracting me. Grey jeans, a strappy top and an ancient striped Boden cardigan which is on and off.
My decorating clothes: ratty old running trousers and one of my old US Nayional Park Ranger tops. I’ve been ‘assisting*’ my vain and eldest granddaughter to decorate the garage.
* I have a new hip, and still can’t climb ladders, bend very far, or squat properly, so assisting is a very loose term!
M&S knee length denim shorts - I don’t care about my tubby legs and 16” scar! Blue Next T shirt and ancient black thongs. Not on my nether regions but on my feet. 👣
Although I am back in my shorts and a thin strapped suntop now, I was out to lunch earlier and wore long loose navy trousers and a lighter blue patterned sleeveless blouse.
I don’t know why what people choose to wear is so fascinating, but it is.
At lunch today in the restaurant, I was sitting sideways on to a young woman, 19 or 20 ish, who was wearing shorts and a thin flesh coloured boob tube. The fabric was so thin that I could read the label saying the fabric details showing through the side seam. From where I sat it didn’t look as if the front was lined but I presume it must have been!! I saw the same colour on an older woman wearing a cotton dress. Not an attractive or flattering colour for anyone I should think.
fairfraise I’ve had my cataracts done so my distance vision is extremely good thank you. I wouldn’t have dreamt of embarrassing the young woman by turning my head sideways to actually read the label.
Shorts and tee today. Both M&S but bought from a charity shop. Sloggi knickers, best knickers ever, only wear these or M&S big knickers, not bought from a charity shop. Bra, triumph cross your heart from Chums, very comfy. Used to think chums was old people’s stuff but some of it is really good, have some excellent elasticated waist jeans I a denim/cotton mix. Also I suppose I am an old person but funnily never see myself as this. 😳😂
Thank you Marydoll, we had a lovely barbecue and I’m stuffed. The family have gone home now and we’re relaxing watching the Olympics. I hope the weather warms up a bit for you up in Glasgow. We live on the south coast, so we get the benefit of slightly warmer weather.
