They could be planning to meet up. And just not telling the bloody gutter press or the creepy "royal correspondents".
Damned if they do and damned if they don't. What on earth has it got to do with Joe Public.
Good Morning Wednesday 29th July 2026
Seems a bit harsh? All that way too. He landed in the UK a few hours ago. Without Meghan and the children.
From the Telegraph just now:
“ The Duke of Sussex will not meet the King this week, the Telegraph can reveal.
Prince Harry, 39, landed in London on Tuesday morning and had made no secret of his hopes to see his father during his visit.
But a spokesperson for the Duke said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
I just think if the King doesn't ’find time’ to see his son then Harry might well just think ‘sod it’ next time/if he comes over.
I know Harry bad mouthed the family in his book ‘Spare’ but still …
What do you think?

I think if any parent wanted to see their estranged child who lived thousands of miles away, however busy they might be, they woukd find an hour to see their son or daughter.
Even a busiest king coukd do that if he wanted too.
Charles hasn’t been seen for months. When my dd had 4 surgeries and 14 intensive chemo cycles she continued going to work in between cycles, despite feeling wretched for half the time, no one suggested otherwise.
‘ Hasn’t been seen for months’?
Didn’t he visit a cancer centre, and also went to a horse show? I believe he also was seen at church at Easter.
silberlinings The King has been working through out his treatment, just not making personal appearances. He is nearly 76 and most people his age are at best retired or only working a few hours a week.
It takes two to tango and both the King and his son need to want to meet for a meeting to take place.
Estrangement is a deeply personal family issue, who knows what is happening within the royal family on this issue.

Your daughter is 76 ?
H and M, sold stories of The Royal Family, had interviews, ditched their duties (kept their titles) slated Camilla and Kate. Told lies publicly, if they wanted to offer the olive branch, an a public apology and telling the truth might be a start. Their star is fading in America. , I don’t see Charles or William forgiving easily, nothing will be OK. Personally I would strip the pair of their titles, Charles and Kate don’t need any more drama, no more stress, just get well. Let that toxic pair stay where they are.
It's good to see the spirit of Christianity is alive and well anyway. What's that story? Oh yes The Prodigal Son!!
Harry flew in to see the King when it was made public the King
had cancer, the following day he gave an interview to an American tv company
He's persona non grata with most of the royal family. "Prince Harry invited William and other senior members of the Royal Family to the service but none of them are expected to attend. Among the royals who could attend include his cousins Zara Tindall and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, but there has been no confirmation of this. Harry is expected to stay at a hotel in London because he no longer has Frogmore Cottage in Windsor."
Must be chilly out there on his own. Oh dear. What a shame. Never mind.
I agree Helter-skelter they quite possibly will find time to meet.
I don't think Charles holds grudges or Camilla. Not so sure about H&M!
It must be remembered this is Harry's team that are doing the announcements, it really isn't necessary to make any reply to enquiries. "That's a private matter, there will be no official announcements" is sufficient.
I imagine Charles is still deeply hurt by the criticisms and barbs aimed at Camilla, and William likewise about Catherine. I wonder if either Charles or William had made similar public comments about Meghan, would Harry still be eager to meet them? I rather doubt it.
It is a shame when there's family estrangement, and when it is as public as this one is, it must add to the mix. Personally I'd find it very hard to trust Harry, and there would only be very stilted, formal conversation as I'd need to be content with details of it being shared. Not a recipe for healing splits.
MissAdventure 🤣🤣
Personally I don’t trust Harry and he hasn’t said anything about me !
Frankly only someone very naive would trust him. Where is his apology for all those lies and bad-mouthing?
I wonder if Charles apologised to The Queen and Prince Philip? I don't think he would.

It's good to see the spirit of Christianity is alive and well anyway. What's that story? Oh yes The Prodigal Son!!
Is Harry behaving like a Prodigal Son? Is he returning asking forgiveness ? Do you think he's even apologised for any of the public accusations, or considered them inappropriate and mean?
Harry was married in a Christian service, Meghan was baptised and confirmed into the CofE before their wedding. Does Harry exhibit the spirit of Christianity or is he exempt?

Ours to wonder, theirs to know.

After what Harry has deliberately done being “cold shouldered” is the least he could expect, the last time he came he didn’t stay long.
I can imagine the conversation -
“thank you for visiting Harry, you’ve had your photo opportunity now clear off back to your tart in LA”.
His "tart"!! For goodness sake! It's no wonder he doesn't want to be in the UK if that's the way his wife and the mother of his 2 children is referred to

I think its Meghan's fault.
I haven't worked out how, yet, but I will.

All this conjecture. It's their business and up to them what they do. If they meet what passes will be private, if they don't it's their decision.
I woukd make time to see my daughter if she wanted to see me. I think. Especially if she didn’t bring her dreadful husband along with her.
As for Charles being 76 I am a few months older than him. Yet I am still 75. Yes he’s worked from home I expect but only appeared in the last week or so but it’s been months since he was last seen, and yes I know about avoiding infections, ( daughter dont forget had aggressive cancer) and no she’s not 76 that woukd be an impossibility Annie.
My goodness. Of course it’s up to them but my point was there is always an hour to be found if both parties wish it.
MissA carry on with the Meghan fault thing, you won’t go far wrong there.

Indeed.
Neither of them have time to waste, the King being sickly and Harry no doubt in a hurry to finish up and return home. Private choices.

Harry told the world his father did exercises in his boxer shorts, I don’t think I would be happy if my daughter told the world I did exercises in my knickers
I have a few issues with members of my family.
Family and very close friends know but not many.
If I thought the whole village where I live, never mind the whole nation knew and were gossiping I don’t think I would leave the house.
Leave it to them to sort out.
It is their business and no- one else’s.

Who knows what’s really happening, the King could have a day or two in hospital scheduled for his cancer treatment.
The report in The Telegraph says ‘it’s not possible’ not ‘the King will not meet Harry’.
Who knows what’s really happening
This.
We only have one side of the story.
Yes, Charles has been working too, silverlining even when we didn't see him in public.
I wondered if his doctors might think it would be risky to meet with someone who has just come here on a plane from the States, especially if he is due another round of chemotherapy and his immune system has been wiped out? Planes are germ factories.
Perhaps his doctors advised caution.
Who knows? I certainly don't profess to.
Most of the Royals are really detached from the kind of reality that applies to most of us.
I couldn't imagine not finding the time to see one of my children who lives thousands of miles away. Any more than I could imagine bad-mouthing my parents on TV or in a book.
However "normal" they claim to be, they really have no idea what normal really is for the majority of the population.
