Good morning all from a very wet Glasgow, where It is 6°C.
GM, it is not surprising you feel low.
Good news Ash, a good night's sleep. makes all the difference to our ability to cope with life trials.
WWM. 💐
We had the best of adventures yesterday with Dollie, made even better by all the lovely people we met, including a family from Hong Kong.
Despite going on the train to Glasgow, Dollie still believed we were going to Sainsbury's. The fact that she noticed the one adjacent to Glasgow Central made her so convinced.
In her excitement she caused two policemen to body swerve us.
They asked her where she was going and she promptly told them, Sainsbury's. I whispered where we were going and they laughed and asked if they could come too,
She still hadn't sussed it out when we boarded the train at Queen Street.
To add to her excitement, her daddeeee met us unexpectedly outside Central Station and accompanied us to Queen Street Station. He obviously wanted to escape from the office.
I thought Dollie was going to burst with excitement. Papa was just as bad! 😂
People round about us on the train were amused by her chat. I suggested she listen to the onboard announcements for a clue to our destination. That didn't work, because the train was bound for Inverness. 😂
Eventually, I said, "It begins with C". "Krispy Kreme", she replied! The women opposite burst out laughing.
I have never managed so much walking for years (of course there were frequent stops and rests and a taxi up to the castle).
Thankfully, on returning home, my car was parked at the front door of the station, I would never have made it down to the car park!
Thinking a bath was a good idea, was in fact not! I couldn't find the energy to get out and Mr MD was dozing resting. The water was stone cold by the time managed it. 🥶
We have taken onboard yesterday's suggestion and are already planning our next castle bagging adventure.
I wish you all a pleasant day. Mine will be mainly a day of recuperation.
