I’m disabled and haven’t been out of the house since 2022.
I’m having to have a blood test and the district nurses were supposed to come to my house to take blood some time. I’ve heard nothing from anybody since message from doctors on 24 January.
I go to bed at 5 or 6am (insomniac) so was fast asleep when doorbell rang. Didn’t answer but when checked later it was district nurse and phlebotomist presumably.
No communication at all before or after. They have wasted their time sadly.
I am angry they didn’t let me know so I could have been showered and waiting. I’m also concerned that I could have been dead behind the door and they just left.
Does anyone know if district nurses are supposed to let you know when they are coming or not or what their protocols are please.
Thank you.
