I consider DH to be my greatest friend and I have lots of other friends in my life.
I have always felt the term 'best friend' was a term mostly used by teenagers but, one of my oldest friends is very poorly and, inevitably, our relationship is different - currently it is almost non-existent. Obviously, I am there for her and her family and do what I can.
Having someone who just 'gets' me is missing for now - maybe for ever. So, I think she is my best friend.
So cross, my poor dried up pots….
