If you leave /deregister from Gransnet and want to come back, you cannot use your previous username.
OK some sensible people just add 2 etc to the end or choose a variation of their old name.
Or choose another name- there is no intention to dissemble or confuse .
To paraphrase a well known saying “By their words shall ye know them! “
