Should Prince William fly to Australia to support the Lionesses?

Isn't this the period that the Royal Family are heading to Balmoral to remember the Queen?

performers?

Sportswomen.
Rôle models for girls!

I think he should continue to do what was decided and not change because of opinions on social media.

Which will all vary in any case………..

Ignore public opinion?
Have a holiday?

Now why does that not strike me as a good idea? 🤔

How do you know what public opinion is merlotgran, I’d guess it’s as divided about this as we are?

Well yes.

There’s going to be the yes he should and the no he shouldn’t and the couldn’t care less whatever happens.

Public opinion is one thing. Social media frenzy is another.

Anyone in the public eye is wise not to be swayed from a considered decision by social media or the press I think. Otherwise they’d be doing one thing on Monday, another on Tuesday and a completely different thing on Wednesday.

I hadn’t heard any of this.

I think he should go. It’s only once, for goodness sake.

wherever he will be this Sunday, he could organise (have organised more like) a large screen and invite locals to watch with him and family.

If he is in Scotland?

"Last October, it was reported that the prince did not plan to attend the men’s World Cup in Qatar. It was understood, however, that his office might have made arrangements for him to travel there if Gareth Southgate’s team reached the final."

The Quern died 2nd week in September, as they'll all still be on holiday then, surely their 'memorial' will be in 2 or 3 weeks time

Lastly what's the carbon footprint on him using a regular BA flight to Sydney that's going anyway?

Perhaps it's full.

I think he’s making a big mistake. So much for dragging the RF into the 21st century.

It’s giving out the message that the women’s game is not as important as the men’s. Saying he’s going to be watching it at home is a massive cop out. What about their hard work and sacrifices?

I’ve gone right off him! 🤣🤣

Me too Merlot

Of course he should go, if it was the blokes he would you can bet your bottom dollar
They don’t think twice about the carbon footprint for other things

Yes that puzzles me. They use helicopters like some people hop on a bus. If Spain’s Queen Leticia and her daughter can fly out to support their team why not our heir to the throne who also happens to be the president of the FA.

no, incase they don't win.

Oh, have they?

Well, that's shown him up!
I've gone off him too.
There's an empty seat in Business Class, William. It's yours.

He is President of the FA and should attend the final.

I think he should be there.

Maybe he will be there!

He might pop up yelling surprise!

I think he should go

As the PM's preferred method of transport is a helicopter why shouldn't William fly to Australia for an important event. Most of the population will continue fly off on holiday whatever he does.

The plane should not go. It’s time everyone took climate change seriously.

Everybody takes it seriously - except for the things that they want to do🤔

By ‘the plane’, do you mean a scheduled airliner?

We’re not talking about private jets.

Go, and take Princess Charlotte with him ? 😊

If it was in Paris or Berlin or somewhere nearby, yes. A 24 hr unpreplanned journey with security and all the palaver- no. He can watch it on TV and give the players a reception at buck house and a gong or two. It’s a football match, not everyone is interested.
