Washing up brushes ... be still my beating heart!!

never really given it much thought to be honest.
I changed my cloth every day, through it into the washing machine until a washing is next done.
Use bamboo scrubbers.

I also put my <Lakeland Wash Up Wiz Net Scourer in the dishwasher, hooked on the prongs on the top part. It's the most expensive scourer I've ever come across but it lasts for years - or perhaps for ever, unless I lose it.

I do also ,plus the dish cloth .

Vanillasky, I apologised when my dog decided to drag her backside along the cotton drop cloths the decorator had put down. 'Don't worry' he said 'I rinse out the paint rollers - then they and the cloths go in the washing machine when the wife is out'.

I don't have one - well, the old one, never used, is now in the shed, useful for washing plant pots and bird feeders in the outside sink.

I use the E-cloth pads, with one soft side and one scratchy. They last a very long time so I have one in use and the other goes in the dishwasher.

Never have, never will. Just replace as and when necessary.

Yes I do, I put tooth brushes through too.

The one I have had for must be 10 years has a rubber sucker on the end for sticking on the drainer or in the sink to allow to drain. Can't go in dushwasher due to rubber. I just scald with boiling water from kettle once a day then leave to drain. Also bought a cheap one with a replaceable brush head for only £3 from B & MNOP!

Now why didn't I think of that? I've been busy this afternoon and wondered what to do with these.

I’m unclear on brushes - what kind? Artists brushes… paintbrushes after changing wall colors… barbecue grill brushes… your toothbrush? Really?

IMHO none of those go in my dishwasher. And I do not put sponges in there either. (Have you heard of bleach?)

I don’t want to contaminate or pollute my appliance with things that don’t belong there other than dishes, glass and silver ware, pots and pans.
Still purrs like a kitten 22 yrs later.

Yes washing up brushes in the dishwasher top shelf. Even then they still reach a point when I ditch them and buy new ones.

Slightly off piste,heard you can cook a whole salmon in the dishwasher.

Yes, I put them in the dishwasher.

Cutlery basket on the bottom shelf for my brush. The odd nail brush has been known to be popped in as well!!

Mine go in the cutlery basket on bottom shelf. Removes all traces of curry or bolognais & come out spotless. Nail brushes as well.

Knitted dishcloths get bleached every day along with the brush. At the end of a week cloths go in hot wash and brush in the dishwasher.
