I think most of you have obviously been to stay in my holiday cottage over the years. If you haven't taken the item with you, you've left it somewhere very obscure!!
The person who sold us this house had a grievance and removed useful metal fittings. The waste disposal trap under the sink so that I turned the tap on and flooded the kitchen and the letterbox were the ones that I remember most clearly.
I had a rental property and someone did this: egg poacher cups from the poaching pan, grill from the grill pan, glass plate from the microwave, glass dish from the soap dish in the shower room along with the loo brush container, remote control, a couple of pan lid knobs, kept their deposit until all items were returned.
In my son's neighbourhood there was a cat who was a burglar. The owner had a notice on their gate to apply here if you are missing anything as our cat is a master burglar. They had a collection of bras, knickers, socks and other items that the cat took a fancy to.
Ro60- that must have been you at our old house then- we put our tree away in january but when next december came around we couldnt find it anywhere.Had to buy a real one instead that year..it never did turn up, even when we moved out!π
Mishy- how odd-Was it a holiday rental? they could have been taking stuff they needed at home maybe? I'd have just kept deposit to replace them allπ
Matelda- Waste disposal units can be quite expensive so probably not such a daft idea- probably re-fitted it in his new home- Not as sure about letterbox you get them quite cheaply.π
