DH is so upbeat today

My Daughter has RD so have seen these injections from no effect to pain free for 6months. This man had his first TKR at 56, other one at 60, then things went down hill resulting in in total revision 3years later.Lived with Arthritis in base of spine for last 3years he is 72 now this wrist was breaking point, If it only lasts till end Jan that's ok as by then we will have been to Norfolk to visit his 8 grandchildren and his 16 great grandchildren

Think I was just unlucky.

No Namsnany, the only thing which stopped the post steroid guided injection pain was a new hip.

Oh dear silverlining48 I'm sorry to hear that. Did it at least go back to the original level of pain eventually?

Not wishing to put a damper on the joy, the injection I had earlier this year made things much much worse.

Steroid injections are fantastic. I have had one for tendonitis and DH had three after crumbling vertebrae at the top of his spine trapped a nerve and left him in almost unbearable pain. That was 10 years ago and he has had no problems since.

Steriod injections are magic aren't they?!

My sister has had some in the past and wishes it was possible to have them permanently.
