I'm a bit cross really.
I've never grown a proper pair of eyebrows; blonde and thin and straggly, they are.

I could give zz top a run for their money in the beard stakes though.

Is there a salon that does electrolysis near you? I go about twice a year and the hairs really don't grow back. The therapist is brilliant and uses a magnifying mirror. Expensive but permanent.

I have at least 40 wiry ones, on cheeks, upper lip, up the side of my face towards the ears and now down the neck. It follows the shape of a full beard. I have fuzz too, which I hardly notice given the mass of wiry ones. My doctor once gave me some special cream but when I asked again later she told me she wasn’t able to prescribe it anymore.
I comfort myself that most people I mix with don’t stroke my face and their eyesight is even worse than mine.

What about waxing Miss A? I can't wax my chin, because it gives me a rash.

But if you can tolerate it, it works really well. Just make sure you pull the skin tight with one hand, and rip the wax off with the other.

Yes, DD and DIL both recommend that and have offered to do it for me.

MissAdventure DD dyed my eyebrows and it helped.

I've never tried wax.
My grandsons do their eyebrows with was strips, though.

I may dig out a strip or ten.

Don't start with too big a strip. Cut to size. Just make sure it's nicely warmed up. And also that you've got the cleaning wipes that come with the strips to wipe off the excess wax. It's super sticky.

I had quite a lot of electrosis years ago, they said it was permanent but it wasn’t and I have a lot more now than I had then.

I am on my second one as its so easy to use and no shaving rash being delicate clippers

Ah, sneaky.
The veet and all of the others in the top sellers are shavers, albeit called 'hair removers' and made like little trinkets.
They get good reviews, but I really wanted not to feel stubble.

I do shave, but I'm worried about when I can't, because my chin feels like a coconut mat.

Threading works best for me. When the salons were closed during lockdown, I invested in one of those light-up magnifying mirrors and got busy with the tweezers - god, but those mirrors show up every little imperfection (and my face has many!) Not for the faint-hearted!

I don't have stubble, well not visibly but maybe my hair is quite fine?

I bought a threading 'implement' that someone here recommended, and it does tug even the course hairs out, but I'm not very good at it.

Yes I have one of those threading devices MissAdventure, it works quite well on the upper lip and chin area, not so good around the eyebrows. There’s definitely a knack to using them. Cheap as chips though.

Yes, perhaps your hairs aren't mature enough to go all grey and wiry and stubborn, violet.

They can grow overnight, or on an evening out...

Those lip ones smart a bit, don't they?

I have one or two white and wiry persistent moustache hairs. I pluck them out, then forget about them. but they seem to grow back and surprise me.

Tweezers will do, unless my one or two hairs mutliply!

My eyebrows are turning grey and thicker and seem to never stop growing now though
