Hot days - problems for pets

We have a cool mat-(£7.99 at Lidl) where she’s stretched out at the moment and an inexpensive hard plastic (yes I know but I used to use it with the GC) paddling pool where she loves to pop in and out. Often, she’s happy just to lie under my chair or a bush when it’s hot.

When the weather is very warm, I wipe my cat with a (clean but old) wet flannel. He doesn't like me doing it, but it cools him down

I've just bought a kiddie's paddling pool for my dog, he loves to wallow in it when it's hot

I’ve just got back in the house after walking DD2’s dogs - quite cool now and the bonus was watching a barn owl.
I’m staggered how many owners don’t consider their pets in hot weather - brainless!

I bought a cool may for our long haired cats as our south facing house gets so hot. This may is filled with some sort of gel that goes cold if pressure is put on it. Silly me. Why would a cat like a special cool thing when they could stick to their broken old cardboard box that they don't even fit in?!
