anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

six tries at getting the word right..... just one word a day...if the letter turns grey it is not in the word..... etc.

I photo shoot my completed Wordle every day and so when I get stuck I flick back to see the words I have used before, especially for choosing the word for the second line.
Today’s Wordle word was chance on the first letter or else I would have got it on the third instead of the fourth.

Earlier, a Wordle Unlimited had an American spelling, very annoying. I thought of the word but didn't get it because there were too many letters.
U or non-U?

Took me 5 today. I've never done it in one or two. I really don't understand the posts that speak of failure to do it in less than the 6 allowed. You do realise that thousands (if not more) have totally not managed in the allowed goes? It smacks of superiority to bewail doing these puzzles in 5 or 6 goes. Not at all encouraging of those who are 'failing' on a regular basis.

5 for me. I found it tricky today.

Callistemon US spellings are allowed in Wordle too.
There was one a couple of weeks ago, I think, that was discussed on this thread.

anything 6 or under suits me but then I don’t understand competitiveness in a game like this the competition is with yourself surely

Exactly, BlueBelle! Four today for me which I’m fine with. So much of success depends on lucky choices in the first couple of rows before logic is needed.
