ginny I have the toeless ones. My GP told me that he had given me the toeless ones to show off my painted toenails. The first time he prescribed them, I had painted my toenails scarlet! He knows how vain I am! 
I hate wearing them, as they make my legs so warm in summer and they look as if I have a dodgy fake tan .It's also becoming harder and harder to put them on.
Gwen, I do have great support from OT and various gadgets, including one to put on socks.
The hand problem forced me to prematurely give up teaching in 2014, there isn't much more than can be done, but I do appreciate all your support and kind words. ?
