Cosmetic surgery - would you, have you?

I haven’t had any cosmetic surgery but I think it’s fine if others do. Most of us like to keep ourselves groomed. We go to the hairdressers, wear makeup and choose clothes to enhance our appearance. It’s just another way to look good and to feel good about ourselves

I haven't had anything at all done. But I think I might have if I could have afforded it. Just a little chin tuck, eye bag tightening, possibly.
But, at heart, I'm not sure about non-essential operations.

I've had plastic surgery and not regretted it. However, it is important to go to people who are well respected rather than clinics offering cut price deals. It might be more expensive but worth it.

I confess I had my nose done when I was 28 and don't regret it. Was made redundant at 55 so me and another women at work had our eye bags removed and top lids sorted! Don't regret that it is very hard getting a job when you look tired all the time. It got me several good jobs and I retired at 65 still feeling good. At 70 I have some wrinkles and my eyes look at bit tired again but not as bad as they would have been. Personal choice I think really it has been very helpful to me, it is a competitive world sadly!

I’ve never had anything done, I remember thinking a few years back that my eyelids were drooping and wondered if I could afford it would I have them done, then one of my colleagues came into work having just had hers done and I was so pleased I couldn’t afford it as she looked permanently surprised it wasn’t a good look

Oh I would definitely have my boobs done. After breastfeeding for 4 years I have saggy/empty boobs which look horrible now I have gained a bit of weight. I intend to use my pension lump sum to have them done!

I think that’s the thing, if you go to someone skilled & experienced, the results will look natural. You won’t look noticeably different from yourself, just better than before.

I've had Botox and liked the results but I did go to a very experienced Doctor. I haven't been able to have it done since Covid but will have it again when I can. I don't like the frown marks which make me look miserable and grumpy. I'm ok with my laughter lines though!

No, essential surgery is bad enough.

No I ve never had anything done apart from my hair cut ?and never would I ve yet to see anyone look any better

No not interested my friend of the same age has spent a lot of money on different proceedures. It has not enhanced her looks or made her look younger at all. It's a waste of good money but each to their own if it brings happiness.

Many years ago I had a tummy tuck as I had an apron of flesh that would not exercise away. Never regretted it... had it done at a Nuffield hospital

No I wouldn't have surgery judging by some of the mistakes and the wind tunnel effect on some people. It looks so unnatural and I admire those who look beautiful despite their wrinkles. Is looking your age such a terrible thing?

If you have to have cosmetic surgery to alleviate discomfort that is a different matter.

Think it's absolutely fine. I simply don't have the courage.

I have had surgery many years ago ..... After having my children and breastfeeding by boobs were horrific - so decided to have them lifted and reduced. They were what the surgeon called pendulous. More like a tennis ball in a pair of socks each side. They were a massive 42 D and now they are a 38 B. I was nervous and my husband wasnt too sure. I can honestly say, best thing I ever did. I can still go bra less, wear nice tops and not have the heavy monsters bounding about. Not for everyone - but I am happy

I have had no surgery or cosmetic help with my looks.
I feel lucky that I have been blessed with good skin and do not have many wrinkles at 65 years old.
I have noticed in the last six months that above my top lip I have several wrinkles and at least two of them look deep.
I am certainly thinking of going to one of those clinics to get some filler or something like that in the skin above lips.
I do not want to get filler in my lips as not really interested in that just something to hold back the wrinkles. I know it is only vanity but I do not want a wrinkles skin.
Has anyone tried those fillers I would be interested to know did they work.

I seem to have aged horribly over the past year and wish I’d used more sun block on my face over the past few years. I think I’d be tempted to have a bit of Botox if I had the money but I haven’t so I won’t.

Scared stuff of the thought of Any surgery what so ever. First thing in the morning I look fabulous - then, I put my glasses on ... ?
Doesn't mean I'm not vain - bathroom full of lotion & potions & a healthy diet for me.
However if you want CS go for it - it's a free world - (figuratively speaking)

I think the thick lips and hamster cheeks that so many go for just makes them look plain daft.

And not being able to open their mouths properly....

I wouldn’t mind having a brow lift or similar, but never will.

I think I look ok till I catch sight of myself in a shop window...

I'd be too scared. I have, however, had a cosmetic procedure I suppose. I have alopecia, total hair loss and have had a hair system. Not vanity, sanity.
