greyduster the old boy tells me that there’s been some ranting and objections from local drivers. Apparently it’s a distracting image when picked up by the headlights at night!

More Fritillaries coming out now, grannyqueenie. There were some white ones last year, but no sign this year so far.
I knew I could depend on you Greyduster, I’ve looked it up and I think you’re right! Love those Fritillary blooms Lisa. I have one solitary one in a shady spot in the garden and every spring when it flowers I tell myself I’ll plant some more for next year. Of course I then forget!

First Fritillary out
Ellianne we also have a toad shaped rock which is a loved local landmark - the Toad’s Mouth near Hathersage. I’m deeply disappointed to see that some twit appears to have seen fit to carve an eye on it. What is it with people?
Love all the seaside photos... one day... one day! For those interested in fungi, I spotted this one today. Any idea why it has a burgundy hue ?
