It's a beautiful evening in the Tyne Valley. Looking from my garden over the chimneys towards the North Pennines.

Venturing out today to pastures new-ish this was my view as I sat with a cuppa and a (far too) large slice of carrot cake. I’m trying to kid myself the walk dealt with the calories .

A rare glimpse of a male whitethroat this afternoon on our walk. I’ve only seen three in my life. He was singing his heart out with the zoom as far as it would go - then obligingly came to pose nearer.

We came across a hidden waterfall in North Wales today.

Beautiful photos everyone, I do enjoy seeing them all. I’d been wondering why no irises had flowered in my garden this year. They’re one of my favourites, they remind me of my mum who loved them. Then up popped this one in an unexpected spot. Gardens are always full of surprises!

I have just realised that this thread is in the "games" forum. I can't see it in "Active discussions" although I posted much later than the last post on the oldest thread in that list. Have they now arranged for the Games" threads to be hidden automatically after all the protests?
