... and planning to be financially independent.

Why on earth would you leave your baby in another country!?

This tale of royal dysfunction is unfolding more strangely by the hour!

Iam64 Fri 10-Jan-20 20:09:18

Horrible awful cruel comments on this thread about a young couple who have decided to change direction.
Good luck to them.
What a relief to see comments from trisher (good fun I thought), Luckygirl, willa45 and lucywinter. Apologies to anyone else who posted anything lacking the vitriol seen in so many other posts.

The royals have often left their Children in the UK while they traveled.

Opinions differing from yours. That's life, sorry.

Perception is key here.
Just practise scrolling, you'll feel better.
You're welcome.

It's neglectful, it will inevitably cause another generation of RF with attachment/abandonment issues.

It's as bad as the march behind the coffin (facepalm)

For heavens sake it is only for a few days. Can anyone on this thread say that they never, ever left their child overnight, or for the weekend with friends and relatives, at home or their home. Some probably went on holidays. I certainly did. We moved house when one child was 2 and the other six months. I left both children with my parents for 2 days while the move took place.

Let she/he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Hey MOnica, Why are you the censor here?
Judge not, please.

Don't be so defensive when an opinion is voiced.

lucywinter Fri 10-Jan-20 20:47:54

Thread's getting silly now innit? grin

ananimous Fri 10-Jan-20 20:54:46

Remain calm everybody it's only a thread, lol! smile

Yes, opinions do differ, and Iam64 is entitled to express her opinion without being subjected to your patronising remarks.

lucywinter Fri 10-Jan-20 21:00:51

Do you all realise you have been missing a whole evening of great soaps?

Sparklefizz Fri 10-Jan-20 21:01:39

What has triggered all this spite against this young couple?

Luckygirl I think you will find that it is the way they have been secretly plotting for months and the way they have treated the Queen.

sparkii Fri 10-Jan-20 21:05:51

Or, could it just be a load of bored old hags who like to run another woman into the ground, so they can feel good about themselves?

NotSpaghetti Fri 10-Jan-20 21:07:37

Washerwoman, I too found both leaving the baby and then only Harry remaining to sort things out a bit odd.

The baby thing mainly because they have been more than a little precious about protecting him so leaving him with a friend and a nanny for several days seems out of character, the other because I would have thought they both needed to have some input at meetings.
I am not implying that I really know their character, just what they have chosen to project.

Regarding their "new direction" - that is obviously between them, but I do think it would be easier to give up the whole royal thing and be Mr and Mrs. That way they would eventually become naturally much lower profile and live something closer to an "ordinary" life.

Eloethan
Ah here comes the gasolene can brigade, lol!
You can relax as no offense has occured.

I'm actually enjoying this lively chat, so there is that.

ananimous Fri 10-Jan-20 21:15:11

Why didn't they want to show off the baby and his milestones to Grandma and family???

Too weird. Guessing the rift is true.

Snide remarks again oh dear me grow up love.

merlotgran Fri 10-Jan-20 21:19:14

Or, could it just be a load of bored old hags

Oi! Do you mind? I object to being called bored. grin

Callistemon Fri 10-Jan-20 21:26:39

Yes, thanks for the reminder I should be knitting/crocheting squares for charity or bags for orphaned joeys!

Callistemon Fri 10-Jan-20 21:28:43

why on earth would you leave your baby another country
Because he's having some 'granny time'?

Anyone know how many stitches I need for a 12cm square in DK?

Callistemon Fri 10-Jan-20 21:30:06

Perhaps the next baby will be an Angharad, Anniebach
We can only hope

Anniebach Fri 10-Jan-20 21:34:43

Perhaps Callistemon perhaps not ? suppose nearest they
will get is Megan ???????

Callistemon Fri 10-Jan-20 21:34:56

why didn't they want to show off the baby and his milestones to Grandma

I think he is with one Grandma and the other one died.

Sometimes I wonder whether the bridge and the goat family are on board.

Callistemon Fri 10-Jan-20 21:36:07

Annie smile

According to another thread, Nerys is making a come back

I didn't realise it was out of fashion.

ananimous Fri 10-Jan-20 21:40:24

Callistemon

GM is in Texas. But yes, leaving a young baby with GM would be better.

ananimous Fri 10-Jan-20 21:43:46

Very subtle Callistemon wink
