Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but looking dry here in Brackley at the present moment.
Today, will be paying off remainder of the shows booked for next year ,as operator has got pre xmas closing dates.
The latest version of Lion King is out on DVD today, plus I want to buy a trowel with a telescopic handle so I can maintain around parents graves.

Good morning Michael, Annie, and all. It is dry and bright, but cold here, in our corner of Berks.

Now who on earth could think we were cliquey? Bit of sour grapes, perhaps?

Sorry to hear that Marydoll is feeling poorly. Perhaps try the ginger biscuit remedy, but take care of yourself.

Our chap came on time to service the boiler, how quickly a year goes by!

The neighbours, across the way, have had a very large tree cut down this morning. We will miss the blossoms, but not the mess it makes when they all drop. Also their house now looks 'naked', but the front garden is small, and the tree was rather large.

Had an email from DD, to say that she can pop over later, which will be lovely. They came back from holiday at the weekend, and she is supposed to be catching up on the washing ?

We also have to be in to take delivery of some large, heavy duty rubber mats for the garage. Time wise, who knows?

I shall finish the sleeves of the jumper I am knitting, then start on the sewing up. That's the bit I don't really enjoy.

Hoping Gillybobs DH, continues with tiny, forward steps of improvement.
Have a good day one and all.

Morning All , I thought I had posted earlier ????
It is really cold and frosty out now , I had Youngest and her Youngest here at the week end and it is so Quiet now they are away . I have a wash on and will hang it out for a while , but no hopes of it drying , but it will smell nice and fresh
Bit of shopping later to replanish the fridge , and the rest of the day slobbing in the warmth of the house trying to ignore the cleaning wink

Great to hear that DH is making some progress Gilly. We're all still keeping you in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Hope we all get to enjoy some sunshine today.

Looking a lot more positive Gillybob fingers crossed your DH improves from now on.

Good morning from Fuerteventura, sun is warming up, just hoping for a nice clear day after yesterday. We are doing very little at the moment, may go to a beach later - DP feels he needs to get in the sea - not sure if I’ll follow. Probably pop to the mercado later to get some bits to keep us going til we head for home at the weekend. I don’t look at many threads on GN but came to this one as it’s a bit of simple grounding to start my day and that’s what I like. Have a good day.

Just popping in to see if there's any news from gilly

Glad there's something positive happening at last. Hang on in there, gilly. Small steps on the road to recovery but nevertheless they are signs of improvement.

Sending a hug.

Good morning all from a sunny SE Wales.
The washing machine is beeping so I should go and attend to it; the washing should dry outside today!

I hope those on here with coughs colds etc, recover quickly.
Marydoll do you have any ginger tablets? They are supposed to help with nausea.

Maw a poignant day for you and your DD1.

gilly my jaw dropped when I read what that nurse called your DH - patients should be treated with more respect than that. I'm glad to hear he is responding, a small step forward.

cornergran Mon 18-Nov-19 10:33:51

Understand the frustration with the nurse, gilly , I'm not sure what I would do either. I'm truly happy that your husband is able to respond to you. A long road ahead so stay strong and think about each positive, sending love to you, your husband and family.

I am not a regular poster on this thread (not up early enough ?) but I do pop in and read through. All I can say is if anyone objects to this thread they must be mad. I think it’s a lovely thread. People wishing each other good morning and talking about their day and caring for each other. Best sort of thread to have in my opinion.
Take care all and love to gillybob x

MawB Mon 18-Nov-19 10:50:59

Gillybob that does sound much more reassuring.
As for the nurse in question, the bottom line for me would be is she the best she can be at her job ?
Worry about her manner later when your H is truly on the mend, but for now, swallow your feelings and look for the positives flowers

Lisagran Mon 18-Nov-19 10:51:45

That’s great news Gillybob. It may take a while, but it sounds as if your DH is fighting his way back out to you. Keep squeezing his hand! Are you looking after yourself? I hope so! Xx

Bright and crisp on the Isle of Wight but my dry-eyes are driving me nuts!

Curlywhirly Mon 18-Nov-19 11:34:59

Good morning from a frosty Cheshire, had to scrape the ice off the car this morning, winter is here! Was good to hear that Gillybob had some positive news, I have been following her story for a couple of weeks now, hopefully her husband's health has turned a corner at last. Today is my day for looking after my 1 year old grandson who has just started trying to talk, it's lovely to hear him trying to repeat words which to me, all sound the same at the moment! He can however say MORE very clearly especially if it involves food grin

Good morning from a sunny Market Harborough area. Off to a friend's funeral this afternoon and then drs at teatime.

Sending love and hugs to Gillybob.

Not for me.
It was a mistake to post again on here.
Same old crew can't help themselves. Have to have a target which ignores the subject of the thread. Can't wait to spit venom.
Well, have fun and talk amongst yourselves.
A communal back slapping fest.
Best wishes to all the rest ? who at least retained some dignity.

Know what you mean Gabriella, but I think you have set the cat among the pigeons!!!!
