Gonegirl I wasn't insulting you, I was showing that because our age of consent is 16 doesn't make it right for someone to ignore the higher age of consent of another country. I expected you to be horrified at the thought of an age of consent as young as 11. And I do find it insulting to the girls involved that you think they were "up for it" Do you not understand the reality of "grooming"?
I think he should have said "Yes, I had sex with her. She was 17, over the age of consent where I come from, and she was quite happy with it. So what?" So equally a Nigerian could say the same of an "up for it" 12 year old in this country. Wasn't it also the defence for the Rochdale abuses that those girls, some not much older, were "up for it" ?
