Looks like the Daily Mail is being sued by them regarding a private letter from the Duchess to her estranged father.

Who is behind the letter being shown to the paper? An unhappy member of their staff? Or Mr. Markle maybe?

No, Catherine does NOT exhibit the ‘exact same behaviour’ as Meghan.
Catherine has not cut off her parents.
Catherine invited the wider members of her family to her wedding.
Catherine was happy to allow the public a peek at her new babies as they left hospital.
Catherine didn’t keep details of her children’s Christenings secret.
Catherine allows the press/public limited, but regular glimpses of her children.
Catherine follows royal protocol always.
Catherine didn’t refuse to curtsy to the queen at her wedding.
Catherine doesn’t tell the public how to live their lives, whilst ensuring an altogether different and more luxurious life for herself.
Catherine is happy to travel on a budget airline.
Catherine didn’t have three nannies in as many months, or lose many staff regularly.
Catherine respects her grandmother in law and is happy to comply with royal protocol.
Catherine hasn’t declined an invitation to Balmoral.

Catherine is nothing like Meghan at all. Nor has she come between two previously very close brothers. Meghan has done that all on her own.

I do not hate Meghan, but I do think she should make more of an effort to respect the family, and the country she has chosen.

I also think Meghan and Harry should mend the awful state of affairs with her father. I don’t understand how she can be happy with this terrible situation in her family. I also think that Harry, having lost his own mother, should be doing everything in his power to mend the situation.

Because we live in a global world and I liked the expression?

Loislovesstewie Thu 03-Oct-19 19:50:52

Which is meaningless to most of us!

Summerlove Thu 03-Oct-19 20:01:59

Well then, consider me properly dismissed and chastised.

Anniebach Thu 03-Oct-19 20:07:11

Good post maddy

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 20:19:33

am guessing you are an escapee from Mumsnet ( you certainly sound young.)

MN would never have posts like that - if you’re planning to dish out forum insults then Nethuns is what you’re looking for

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:27:56

I just think,on this thread, it should be unnecessary to mention her colour.

If you were chatting with your mates over lunch at the garden centre, then it would be fine to say you think she is a lovely colour. Just unsuitable on this thread on this forum.

Can't really explain it better than that.

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 20:31:05

I agree. Saying that a black woman is a lovely colour is one of things that you’d hear someone say and think wtf??! shock

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:31:29

I didn't think Summerlove was a Mumsnet escapee and I can spot 'em a mile off

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 20:31:31

Or ‘what on earth’ if wtf is too Mumsnet for you

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:33:01

No way is she.

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:34:36

No! I claim WTF for Gransnet.

merlotgran Thu 03-Oct-19 20:40:34

The world's gone mad when you have to wrack your brains to think of a way of complimenting someone on their skin colour without being accused of making a racist remark.

Many Chinese women have high cheekbones which compliments the shape of their eyes.

Is that racist? confused

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:45:39

Hmmm. I'm hovering now.

Still think it would have been best avoided on this thread which, let's face it, is mostly knocking the pair of them.

MissAdventure Thu 03-Oct-19 20:47:39

Has Meghan declined in invite to Balmoral?
What did she say, and to whom?

Who heard it?

How has she come between the brothers?
In what way?

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 20:48:14

You can have WTF, I’m having WTAF

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:53:45

Ok.

See, that extra bit for me, takes away the... zing! Sort of.

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:54:51

Just don't put it in a thread title. hmm

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 20:55:48

No, no - you put the emphasis on the ‘actual’ to express your disbelief at what you’ve just heard

Gonegirl Thu 03-Oct-19 20:59:37

I will try it out tomorrow. On DH.

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 21:03:53

He will appreciate the expansion to your vocabulary, I have no doubt of that. Update tomorrow please!

lemongrove Thu 03-Oct-19 21:04:22

Merlot ......there’s always a fewwink but I don’t take any notice of them.

suziewoozie Thu 03-Oct-19 21:08:44

merlot are you muddling up your compliments and complements? But apart from that why would anyone ever compliment someone on the colour of their skin? Asking for trouble

SirChenjin Thu 03-Oct-19 21:09:45

Exactly suzie. It’s not that hard to understand really.

Anniebach Thu 03-Oct-19 21:13:33
