Looks like the Daily Mail is being sued by them regarding a private letter from the Duchess to her estranged father.

Who is behind the letter being shown to the paper? An unhappy member of their staff? Or Mr. Markle maybe?

The day before he left S.A. he visited a health clinic for a meeting with health chiefs. As he left the SKY royal reporter asked him ‘what do you hope to achieve?’, he snapped at her
‘what ? Ask them’, as he was getting into his car his he used his arm to shoo her away and said ‘Rhiannon don’t behave like this ‘. Royal reporters ask questions surely

Paddy he acts like a spoilt child , not getting his own way.
He is still a boy.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:04:09

There are questions and there are questions. You must know that AB. It was quite unnecessary.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:04:59

Not a sign of attacking in this thread is there? grin

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:07:27

Why not now merlot? If he's sick to the back teeth with it, now is as good a time as any.

Why do you all love the gutter press so much?

merlotgran Fri 04-Oct-19 22:11:29

I was just wondering why he has waited so long when celebs like Hugh Grant and Elton John had their payouts ages ago.

I haven't been reading the gutter press. This was from the BBC News website.

Anniebach Fri 04-Oct-19 22:11:35

Seems it is from the time when several papers were found guilty, quite a few years ago so why now , most odd.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:12:21

It's about the gutter press.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:13:55

Now because his new wife, the mother of his child, the woman he obviously loves very much, is under attack.

Surely thats obvious!

Anniebach Fri 04-Oct-19 22:20:50

So he sues over something which allegedly happened years ago ?

Anniebach Fri 04-Oct-19 22:22:31

They want praise only,

jo1book Fri 04-Oct-19 22:24:03

A big mistake; this will make them even more unpopular as the rights and the wrongs will be overridden by what is seen as petulance and possible damage to the RF.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:24:55

Yes. If it happened years ago then it's about time he did something about.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:25:52

I think they want fairness. And peace to raise their family and get on with their jobs.

merlotgran Fri 04-Oct-19 22:27:42

How are they going to get peace and quiet if they keep stirring up the press?

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:28:48

Don't agree jolbrook Only people so inclined to think of things that way will think like that. moon

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:30:33

Hopefully if it hits the bl press hard enough where it hurts, they will actually give up.

Would you sit back and do nothing if you had the wherewithal to fight? I wouldn't.

Anniebach Fri 04-Oct-19 22:31:23

Rubbish, it was settled years ago, why didn’t he do anything about it then. Or did then decide to do the same as his brother and sister in law, remain silent

He will get much sympathy from the public, his talk about his mother days after he did the walk in the landmine area she did over 20 years ago.

Gonegirl Fri 04-Oct-19 22:31:40

They are not exactly getting peace and quiet from the press at the moment.

moon again

Anniebach Fri 04-Oct-19 22:34:19

They were, the S.A. tour was greatly praised. They want total
control.

merlotgran Fri 04-Oct-19 22:36:46

I think I'd be inclined to let the Buck House legal brains either deal with it or advise me but then I've been binge watching the first two series of The Crown while trying to beat the lurgy into submission.

Those grey suits and moustaches would have known what to do. grin

pinkquartz Fri 04-Oct-19 22:39:32

Perhaps his wife is pushing PH to make the claim now.

Who pays for the legal costs?

dragonfly46 Fri 04-Oct-19 22:43:21

I think they are right to sue and I am sure he will have the Queens blessing. He is the only one who is in a position to sue and it is about time the gutter press like The Daily Mail We’re stopped from printing their perpetual lies.

bingo12 Sat 05-Oct-19 06:44:43

Really, really got tired of hearing about them on TV and seeing them in papers all the time.
Wish THEY would stop.

suziewoozie Sat 05-Oct-19 06:58:50

Kate quite rightly sued a French magazine and won substantial damages. Why no criticism of her? The legal actions are not tax payer funded, and if successful, the newspapers will pay. The bile towards M and H on this thread from some posters is truly sickening. What exactly have they done to you personally to provoke such a reaction?
