House and car keys in the freezer (twice).

I always put things back where they belong. They just don’t stay there and wander around when I’m not looking. I’ve got so used to this no place is daft. Anything could have moved anywhere. A popular hiding place is the microwave. All sorts of thing get in there.

Ah yes, the freezer. I've done that too. My handbag.

...and if my husband keeps on singing "it's because you're sixty-four" I shall blooming well put him in the freezer!

It was only when I went to phone my mobile from our landline because I couldn't find it that I realised it was in my hand because I'd just been messaging someone. ?

Glad you found your cup - but I wish I knew where the x@x% our spare duvet cover is! Went to change the bed yesterday, found the pillowcases, no duvet cover! It's always put in the airing cupboard - not there obv. - I swear I've checked every single cupboard, drawer and washing basket etc. in the house.
And not lurking in the drier either - not that I usually T-dry them.
Talk about a complete mystery!

I have been known to put the clean duvet cover over the dirty one when distracted...have a look

I’ve been trying to find a big roll of blind cord and the tape that goes with it to make some Roman blinds. It’s all disappeared into the ether. I expect I’ve put it somewhere safe ?

Witzend, your duvet cover may well have absconded with my pair of pure silk pillow cases I bought to lessen in the night wrinkles; I'll never know if they were worth the outlay.

I remember my mum pouring beans into the teapot - seemed funny when she did it. I've just been looking for the pair of specs I was wearing.

witzend my daughter had my spare duvet cover but denied it. Then weeks later she brought it back - very embarrassed because she had also forgotten she borrowed it while we were away.

DD folds duvet cover, matching sheet and second pillow case and puts them inside a pillow case. Great idea but I C.B.A.

I used to look after a youth hostel during the winter when it was hired for the weekends but was empty during the week. Things regularly moved from where I'm sure I put them - but the building was supposed to be haunted.....
