What one thing - apart from money - would make your life a whole lot better?
It can be anything.......real life or fantasy.

Mine is:
To be less fearful of so many things..........shock

DanniRae That's very sweet, a magic wand would be great - but I have quite a few 'work-arounds' now.

My son equipped my phone so I can talk to it; I have learned to do far more than I ever imagined just by feel.

For instance, I recently took 30cm from the sleeves of a blouse and sewed a hem round what was left - all by just feeling where to place the needle as it slid down my thumb nail.

I use light and dark a lot more, I'm more attentive to what I can hear and smell and with the aid of technology I can still use my PC.

I do all right grin

I'd like the tooth fairy to come and put back the few teeth I've lost. I'd give back the 6d that I got for my milk teeth!

More research into thyroid conditions and Hashimotos. More understanding given to thyroid patients. More treatments available for hypothyroidism, rather than just one which does not work for everyone.

Oh BradfordLass I wish I had a magic wand so I could make you be able to see again.......x

Fantasy: I'd love a self-driving car; then I wouldn't be totally depenedent on people to take me where I need, or would like, to go.

Reality: Well, I suppose I'd like to be able to see but I'm used to not seeing now so it's no big deal - and I don't really have anything else I'd want to change.

Just to be less "windy" would make me more confident in company. We'll, better still, not "windy" at all.

I need all my aches and pains to go away, and let me get about like I used to.

Worry less about things I’ve got no control over.

Sara; I've said this before, but it's worth another airing!
If you don't like something, change it.
If you can't change it, change you attitude.

Meaning, if you really want to worry, do so about things you do have control over.
Fortunately, I've outlived most of my worries; hmm There may be others still in the pipeline, but who cares? I won't be around to worry about them! grin

For our family problems to come to an end and there at least be some contentment for us all.

No worries. I think words on the internet can so easily be misconstrued. No tone of voice or facial expression. and emoticons aren't much help either.

To be less of a worrier. I worry about most things but in particular I worry about how my DH, who is younger then me, would cope if I died before him. I am thankful though that I probably have less to worry about than some of you lovely people up-thread who seem to have some very real worries indeed. These are for you. flowers

For my two Daughter in laws to be friends, they have not spoken to each other for twenty years, breaks my heart and makes family get togethers so very difficult.

Being able to turn back the clock to February of this year would make my life 100% happier.

Mea culpa
...the fault was/is all mine.
I actually read your post and fully understood that you were repeating someone else's view.
Why I couched my response in the way I did, I have no idea and no excuse.
Please accept my apology to you.
Next time, I'll be sure to respond according to the facts in the comment I refer to. ?blush

To be pain free.

Not my maxim, my friend said it to make me feel better. Sorry you took it so personally, it definitely wasn't directed at you.

GabriellaG54 Tue 01-Oct-19 18:07:18

woukd would blush

Sara65 Tue 01-Oct-19 18:06:25

I think like many of you, to be less fearful, and worry less about things I’ve got no control over.

GabriellaG54 Tue 01-Oct-19 18:06:24

As someone said upthread that people who aren't worriers are often arrogant and thoughtless, I'll no doubt, according to her be just that, although it's all supposition.
Nothing could make my life better, as I love the life I have, however, I woukd love to re-lived the years from 22 - 58 when my children were at home

Gemini1789 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:58:04

I can really identify with you on this , Ayse . I have 3 daughters and there is rarely a time when they are all getting on. I find it stressful because there is nothing I can do.

PamelaJ1 Tue 01-Oct-19 16:43:39

I would like Australia to move a bit closer.

ayse Tue 01-Oct-19 16:38:33

For all my daughters to be happy or at least content. Oh, and for the older two to settle ongoing differences in interpretation of previous events. I try not to comment to either of them but I still feel like piggy in the middle and feel so powerless to make it better. It worries me

Today: the rain to stop dripping through the hall ceiling so we can start the repair.

Eglantine21 Tue 01-Oct-19 15:24:56

Being able to decide which wallpaper to put up in the living room!

I’ve got eight samples hanging up at the moment. I’m beginning to get bored with the whole thing?

MamaCaz Tue 01-Oct-19 15:21:25

Right now, life would be infinitely better if my elderly mother could live near enough for me and the rest of the family to see and help her regularly, and be able to include her in our day-to-day lives. Unfortunately, property prices being so much lower in her region, it's not an option. I am totally stressed out by the current set-up!
