Good Morning Everyone,
Its grey and dry here at the moment with a slight autumn chill in the air.
Not my usual Tuesday today ,as I have the chiropodist at 9 , and then later this morning a visit to the surgery to have my ears syringed.
Mick

Good Morning Mick and all who follow.
Dry, dark with the moon and stars still out. It’s just getting red in the east.

Swimming this morning and then a homework day for me.

Have a lovely day whatever you do ?

Urmstongran Tue 17-Sept-19 06:38:24

Good morning Mick Beechnut and all who follow. I woke early for some reason. It’s only just coming light in Malaga.

This is my last full day - I’ve been out here since the end of July.

We are off to visit Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo today.

Hope Tuesday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good Morning and to all those who follow. Can't sleep, up early so just getting on with things. It's bright out here in Fife and think it will turn out a nice day. Trying to recover from cold/sore throat but taking its time. Having a friend for coffee this morning for catch-up. Funeral arrangements all made for Thursday for my dear, lovely Aunt whom I shall miss so much. Hope today is good for everyone. Take care all those who are feeling poorly today.

Good morning all from a breezy and very cool Glasgow, it's only 7 degrees or 45 degrees in old money!

I have a GP visit this morning to check up how I'm faring with all my ailments. sad
I now have a hacking cough into the bargain.
We have a nursery pick up today, so that will be a wee boost, seeing DGD. smile

I had a surprisingly pleasant visit to the dentist. My usual hygienest (torturer and lecturer) has left, and I got a lovely young man. It was pain free and no lecturer about how to brush my teeth properly , despite the facts that I sometimes can't really use my hands.
Both his mother and grandmother have RA, so he fully understood about all the mouth ulcers and mouth problems, associated with it. I positively skipped out of the dentist! grin

We had a bit of drama late last night when our neighbour and DH's golfing partner phoned over to say their beloved golf club was on fire. sad.
It's in the hills above our home and we were out (in pyjamas) watching the flames and could see the blinking lights of the fire engines in the dark. It was a horrible feeling.
It turned out that it was a wildfire set by mindless vandals, much to their relief.

Urmstongran, enjoy your last day and Beechnut get that homework done or else....
Gilly, I hope your husband has had a more restful night.

Enjoy your Tuesday all.

Good Morning All, still dark in Cheshire.and it looks damp.
I had a cataract done a week ago which was fine but now its waiting for this to settle for about 4 weeks .
The (minor) problem now is that I still cannot see very clearly to read until I get some new glasses.
It is hard work when your eyes are trying to look at two things at once.
Thank you though NHS.

Good morning from Northampton. It's bright today, and a good weather forecast. Feels a bit chilly though.

A morning doing a few odd jobs, changing the bed, cleaning bathrooms, then a Health Walk after lunch followed by coffee and a chat.

Hope today is good to all.

dragonfly46 Tue 17-Sept-19 07:07:20

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

I have so much on today but not sure I have the energy for all.

Shopping first thing, then friends coming for coffee.
Hospital visit then a talk on cannabis oil this evening.

A busy day ahead. Our youngest daughter is starting some treatment for her EDS today so we are heading over to Stafford to look after DGS.It is the first time since she was diagnosed at seven years old,she is 30 in two weeks, that she is having treatment tailored for her condition.

We have tickets to see Louis Theroux tonight, hoping to get there but que sera, sera.
Sending loving thoughts to all with health and other worries and wishing all a good day.

Morning everyone.
There is a glimmer of sunshine in Kent but so far it's quiet cool.
It's Tuesday so I will be food shopping and driving DH. Still things for him to do in the gardens but things are slowing down.
Enjoy today Urmstrong and safe journey back
Good wishes to anyone feeling below par.

Morning Mick Mary and All.

Lovely sunny day here in South Bucks.

Going to play Rummykub today with my old muckers.

I’m so pleased Mary it wasn’t your DH’s golf club that burnt down, as I know you like time to yourself to get up to all sorts ?

kittylester Tue 17-Sept-19 07:26:34

Good Morning from a very sunny Black Country.

Had a lovely day yesterday on our U3A coach trip to Llangollen and a canal boat trip which included going over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

Today, I have no plans, may ring my friend and see if she fancies lunch out somewhere.

Urmston Benalmadena Peublo is our favourite place to stay. There are many lovely restaurants to eat in. We have been to Mijas on the bus, quite a ride up into the mountains. Enjoy your last day.

Pleased your dental visit had a positive outcome Marydoll
Hoping all is well for both of your DD's today Susan56

Enjoy your day everyone.

Brunette sorry to hear about your Aunt. My Aunt passed away last week, but the funeral is when I am away! My sincerest condolences to you flowers

gillybob Tue 17-Sept-19 07:30:25

A quick Good morning from the NE coast when’re we have a bright but chilly start to the day.

After a slightly more restful night, my Tuesday breakfast cafe is open for business with 3 hungry children to feed. The usual wide variety on offer plus a couple of new things to temp. I don’t have little Evie today as my DD’s shifts have been changed (oh how hard they like make it for working mothers) Then it’s school runs and seeing to my dad. Before a couple of hours in “that place” then school runs back to mine. I will deliver them home at about 6.30 pm after they have been fed.

I’m so sorry your holiday is coming to an end Urmstongran and that you will be back to your beloved Malaga soon.

To all this looking forward to trips, treats and travel I hope you enjoy yourselves.

To those feeling under the weather or sad, I hope you feel better soon. Must dash, Gilly x

Kitty, there was a piece on BBC Scotland last about an App for dementia sufferers, which allows a music playlist to be created to unlock memories.

There was also a clip about a concert for dementia suffers.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-scotland-49694763/dementia-friendly-concert-proves-a-hit

What a great idea.

Grammaretto Tue 17-Sept-19 07:44:58

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Not too bad here.
I may have to join U3A to go on exciting canal trips. Nannyjan!
Take it easy all you intrepid GNers.

We have hospital appt later. Our young German helper/volunteer is building us a new back gate. He's making a good job of it. We had to go to 4 places before we found the materials. He couldn't understand why the garden cenre is mostly just a cafe and sells clothes and cards!

Sar53 Tue 17-Sept-19 07:45:18

Good morning everyone from a sunny Essex by the sea. We've been in Greece for the last two weeks so it's back to reality now. Loads of washing, then ironing to be done, I must go food shopping and lots of admin to be sorted.
I hope everyone has a pleasant day.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 17-Sept-19 07:47:33

Urmstongran I love Mijas, I always visit the little church.

Good morning Michael, Annie too come and all others.
I didn't do too well yesterday, in that I got the appointment time wrong for my eye test.
I felt so stupid, and now have to wait until next week, the day before my pre-op, before they can fit me in.
The upside was, that I unexpectedly met a friend in town, and we had a reviving coffee and good catch up chat.
Great excitement here, as we are off to see our new car this afternoon, and get some paperwork done.
Gillybob, nice to hear that you and Mr G had a slightly better night.
NannyJan, we have been on that aqueduct, spectacular isn't it?
To all those feeling a bit under the weather, take care of yourselves.
Have a good day one and all.

Harris27 Tue 17-Sept-19 08:02:19

Good morning all from Spain with my updated name - I feel like a computer programme! Yesterday’s server debacle on GN meant I couldn’t access site so here’s version 2!

Hope you have a good last day Urmstongran- funnily enough we were down in Torremolinos yesterday having our last day on the beach!

You all seem so busy today so hope all goes well - version 2 is doing couch potato today!

Greyduster Tue 17-Sept-19 08:17:30

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire. We have nothing much planned for today except the school run later this afternoon, but I have to try and get a telephone appointment with my GP as I have questions about a referral. Have a good day folks.
