Good morning Mick and everyone to follow, looks like a good day today in Cheshire (not Torbay) staying at my daughters.
She is having a mastectomy today so a very long and anxious wait today. Keeping positive and sure all will be well.

NanKate Sat 14-Sept-19 06:43:54

Good morning Mick Nana and All to follow.

Trust all goes well for your daughter today Nana.

Sunshine and warming up here in South Bucks.

Have invited an old friend round for lunch today. I am sure we will laugh a lot and exchange stories since we saw each other a year ago.

Morning mick, nanabanana, everyone.

There's a brightening sky in North Leicestershire but it is too early to see what the day will bring.

We are off to one of our favourite hotels for a couple of nights. This evening we are going to see a performer that dh first saw at Cheltenham Jazz Festival. The stay in a nice hotel is my quid per quo for going with him. grin

I hope all goes well for your daughter, nanabanana. thanks

Good Morning everyone.

A dry and bright start.
I hope everything goes well for your daughter and take care yourself Nana.

I think I will potter, sit with my book and a G&T later.

Have a lovely day all whatever you do ?

Pantglas1 Sat 14-Sept-19 07:06:27

A stormy morning all from Spain where my patio cushions are bedraggled after I forgot to bring them in last night!

Hope things go smoothly for your daughter’s op nana banana
and everyone who follows has a good day and better weather than I’m having!

Marydoll Sat 14-Sept-19 07:15:00

Good morning all from Glasgow, not sure what the weather is doing.

Really crazy dreams last night, the best bit, the M&S outlet in our town had a massive sale and had so many DESIGNER (?) items, instead of the usual rubbish, that there were rails out on the street, the worst bit, I couldn't get anywhere near them. grin

Nanabanana1 , a very difficult day for you, I hope all goes well for your daughter. As mums, we would take on their pain ourselves, rather than see our children ill. flowers

Kitty. enjoy your weekend.

Have a good day, whatever your plans.

dragonfly46 Sat 14-Sept-19 07:17:17

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Sending your daughter good wishes again nanabanana. I am now nearly 2 weeks on and amazed apart from the odd setback, how things are going.

I do find I can only do one thing a day though so a little shopping in M&S and coffee then home for a rest.

Greyduster Sat 14-Sept-19 07:28:27

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dry here in South Yorkshire at the moment. It is DH’s birthday today so I am cooking his favourite lunch and then he will be off with my son, who is also lunching with us, to the football. No doubt a pint or two will be taken (he’s not driving!). Me? I have a nice quiet afternoon to do nothing! Have a good day folks!

Urmstongran Sat 14-Sept-19 07:35:27

Good morning everyone from Malaga where we had the most spectacular thunderstorm at 4am with rain of biblical proportions! Damp, grey and very quiet here now - eerily so with no birdsong.

A family member, similar age, is coming out to join me for my last 4 nights here. I will go to the airport at 2pm to meet her. She’s looking forward to her long weekend as she hasn’t been to this part of Spain before and we plan to be out and about. I hope the weather improves for her visit!!

Best wishes nanabanana regarding your daughter’s op today. Hopefully she will make good progress as dragonfly is doing. ?? for you both dear ladies.

Hoping Saturday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good Morning from a bright but cold Fife. Battling today with bereavement of a very close family member who died yesterday. Not sure what I shall do today just can't think straight. Nanabanana1 keep thinking positive, I'm sure all will be well.

oldgaijin Sat 14-Sept-19 07:57:37

Good morning all from a piddly wet Aberdeenshire...not a day for going to the woodies, but shall have to take the mutt at some time.

Had a long phone conversation yesterday with my co-grannie...she has to go to the Beatson in Glasgow everyday for the next six weeks for radiotherapy so we discussed all our ailments!

Am off to a felting class tomorrow and hope to come back with a hielan' coo.

Hope it stops raining soon as I have a heap of plums still to pick...they are disappointing this year, not like last year's lush crop, so it could be a jam/chutney making day.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick and all. Hope all goes well for your daughter Nana. Quiet day for me also packing for my return to the coast in Essex tomorrow. Maybe some sitting in the garden if sun stays out. Have a good day everyone.

Hugs too for Grannybanana very hard to watch children suffering.

Our town has lots of open doors today and tomorrow where you can go inside places normally closed or expensive. I'll be helping with one.

Good morning from a dry and bright N I. Nothing special on today. Pantglas1 and Urmstongran , I hope the weather picks up in Spain as we are flying to Malaga this day week for a few weeks. Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

harrigran Sat 14-Sept-19 08:40:30

Good morning from a slowly brightening NE.
Out to lunch today to celebrate friend's big birthday, it was two weeks ago but this was the first date we could both manage.
Disturbed night and I am feeling tired.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Nanabanana's DD.
Condolences Brunette flowers

It's a lovely bright sunny morning here in Northampton, so wishing everyone a good morning, especially Nana and her daughter.

Will potter a bit this morning, have a go at the crossword in the paper, cut the back grass, and then after lunch sit in the sunny garden with the cats and my book club book, and perhaps a drink... And that's it for today. Might even wear my shorts!

Hope the day is kind to all.

gillybob Sat 14-Sept-19 08:55:33

Good morning from the NE coast where the sun is trying hard to get to get through the clouds .

Don’t really have any plans for today except get a bit shopping ready for the week ahead. I rarely get anything I really need when I take my dad shopping . My DS washed, waxed and polished my car yesterday and my 6 year old car now looks like a brand new car standing at my front door. I was hoping to give the inside a little going over but doubt my back will be very happy about that so it shall have to wait . Its nice to see the outside gleaming though .

I am so sorry to hear about your poor DD Nanabanana and hope the operation goes well and she is on the road to recovery very soon, just like our dear dragonfly who is doing well considering it’s only 2 weeks on from her op.

I hope you enjoy your friends visit to Malaga Urmstongran and that the weather returns to normal very soon.

So sorry to hear of your bereavement Brunette the loss of a close family member is such a shock especially when it is unexpected. Do take care.

To all those feeling under the weather I hope you feel better soon. Have a good Saturday everyone x

Good to see you here Oldgaijin. What’s a ‘hielan’ coo’ ? I’ve worked out the highland bit. Whilst you are there can I have a few of your plums please, but no grubs thanks ?

FYI YS9 comes out 19 Sept, or have I told you this before ?

gillybob Sat 14-Sept-19 09:11:48

The coo is a cow NanKate grin

gillybob Sat 14-Sept-19 09:12:39

Oops meant to ask what’s YS9 ?
