We had tinned food before we joined the common market didn't we?
Yes, but we didn't have large scale use of food banks, in fact we didn't have food banks at all, or people being fined for having an extra bedroom in their house, or being left for weeks without income because of changes in the benefit system, or people being forced to write endless largely fictitious job applications as a kind of punishment for being unemployed, or unemployed people having benefits withdrawn as punishment for not filling a form in incorrectly.
Why do some on these forums think that the post Brexit world is going to be just like 1945 and that was fine wasn't it. No, it won't be. It's a selfish point of view and just not good enough.
p.s. I agree that there is a lot of apathy as a result of the atrocious handling of the whole post referendum period which is down to Tory party incompetence and internal warfare.
Ah dear - why does getting older equate to diminished brain power?
