Good Morning Everyone,
Overslept a little but have woken up to grey sky's and rain in Brackley this morning.
Housework and usual day out to Buckingham and Bicester today, plus a haircut.
Mick

Morning Mick, morning All from a humid, drizzly corner of Somerset. Hospital appointment and a walk round the shops today. Hope Tuesday is kind to everyone.

kittylester Tue 25-Jun-19 06:52:41

Morning Mick, corner, all.

Its pickling down in North Leicestershire and looks set in. The roof man was coming today but wont want to be slipping around on the wet slates. Irony is, the roof will leak like nobody's business! confused

Good luck at the hospital, corner .

Good morning all from N Bucks where it is raining - quelle surprise!
Glad to see it though after one of the hottest and stickiest nights we have had here for a while.
So I shan’t be doing much today, but I am enjoying my new Kate Atkinson - what better opportunity?
Wishing you a pleasant day!

Good morning everyone, from somewhere in the Baltic Sea between Gdansk and Stockholm. A lovely sunny morning and very calm sea, but we are forecast rain tomorrow in Stockholm. A sea day today. Nothing much planned except my 6 laps of the deck, some reading, and classical concert this afternoon. I may visit the spa to see if they can fit me in for a pedicure.

Lovely weather in Gdansk yesterday. We visited the old town, which isn't so old actually, as it was completely destroyed in WW2, and then rebuilt after the war so that everything was as it was before. Beautiful architecture.

Still in bed with my morning tea; must get up and go for breakfast! Hope everyone's day goes well.

Greyduster Tue 25-Jun-19 07:03:57

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Raining in South Yorkshire too. To continue the watery theme we are going swimming this morning - boring but we - I - need the exercise. School run this afternoon. Have a good day folks.

Good morning Mick and everyone. Started raining here in Cheshire about half and hour ago and the sky is just low cloud. Nothing can dampen my spirits today as my DD and GS arrive at last after flight cancellations. It feels a bit unreal at the moment until they walk through those doors!

Have a lovely if damp day.

Beechnut Tue 25-Jun-19 07:11:07

Good Morning everyone and all who follow.
Very murky dismal on Severnside. I can not see the river let alone over it.
After breakfast I shall go swimming then homework for the rest of the day.
We had a lovely chuckle together when my brother called by yesterday.

With one thing and another try and enjoy your day everyone ?☔️

Morning All

Nice steady rain here in the north of Norfolk.

We’re just back from a few days in Kent with the caravan so the rain is welcome as we parked just that little bit too far under a cherry tree. I did tell him but he insisted! I don’t know how big the bird was that managed to sit on those frail branches, eat loads of cherries and then * on the ‘van. But it must have been considerably bigger than a pigeon!

Nothing planned for today apart from washing. If the forecast is right (!) I should get it dry this afternoon.

ninathenana Tue 25-Jun-19 07:19:44

Morning everyone.

We have had rain over night in Kent but it's stopped for now. We were expecting storms but they didn't reach us.
Don't know if DH willl be working today. Usual food shop and maybe tea with my cousin this afternoon.
Have a good day people.

NanKate Tue 25-Jun-19 07:21:01

Morning Mick and All.

Back in our own home in South Bucks it’s damp and cloudy here, I love being back. Need to restock the larder.

Loving to hear about your cruise BlueS so pleased you are enjoying it.

I haven’t heard the expression ‘pickling down’ in a long time Kitty. Hope the leaks can be sorted soon.

gillybob Tue 25-Jun-19 07:21:31

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a right “pea souper” of a morning . Can barely see the end of the garden and the sea and sky are joined . The fog horn has been sounding all night . School runs then I’ve been roped into helping with a practical science lesson in DGS’s year 4 class. Then it’s off to “that place”
Then school pick ups again. It’s all go.

Have a good Tuesday everyone x

Lins1066 Tue 25-Jun-19 07:45:28

Good Morning all. Rained a bit overnight but dry now and some brightness breaking through.
Hydrotherapy this morning and looking after DS's dog today.
We had that " pea souper" yesterday morning gilly then we had lovely sunshine yesterday afternoon. Such differences in the weather.
Enjoy your day everyone, hope all goes well for those with hospital appointments and enjoy your book Maw - a day spent reading, bliss.

NannyJan53 Tue 25-Jun-19 07:48:05

Good morning from another hot and sunny Lindos. We are 2 hours ahead of UK.

A day on the beach is planned, swimming and reading my novel on Kindle. Breakfast in a beachside cafe about 11am will see us through until this evening.

Last night of Lidos rock festival. Everyone also friendly, and we have chatted to allsorts. You meet so many interesting people at these

Have a lovely day everyone

Good morning from a wet and soggy South Yorkshire.

It looks to be set in for the morning, at least, so no gardening today.

My friend should be back from her holiday, so hope to catch up with her later if she is free.

I hope they've got the forecast for Stockholm tomorrow wrong, BlueSapphire - it's a beautiful city to visit, particularly the old town area, but like anywhere, better to see properly if it's dry. Gdansk sounds similar to Ypres as it, too, was completely remodelled to its former style after being devastated in both wars.

Well, I hope you all enjoy the day whatever weather is thrown our way! ?

Alygran Tue 25-Jun-19 08:15:37

Good morning from soggy North Yorkshire.
Housework and laundry today before setting off to DD1’s later. I shall be Grandma in residence until Sunday. School runs and proper meals!
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where there is slight glimmer of sun through the clouds.
Anything is better than yesterday's thunder and lightening. I thought the conservatory roof was going to cave in, with the volume of rain.?

Plans for a gentle relaxing day yesterday went awry as usual. My husband decided to lay some slabs, (I have only been asking for a year ?) when he was forced in by the thunder and torrents of rain .
I heard a lot of banging and a few expletives, ?the back door (only a year old) wouldn't close properly, nor lock. After about half an hour, I suggested a locksmith, before he caused more damage, as there have been a spate of burglaries recently and I was concerned about the door being unlocked overnight.
He was still hashing and bashing when I called the locksmith. Thank goodness we have an insurance policy.
We had a good result, the locksmith also replaced the barrel on the front door too, (DH said it was "fine", ) when I mentioned it was sticking. grin. Carpe Diem!

I'm off out this morning to get new keys cut, we were given five with the lock, but I need spare keys for all the children.
They actually had a Whats App conversation about who (the favourite?) would get a key first and who would have to wait for ones to be made!!! grin They don't even live at home anymore.

We have to pick up our wee granddaughter from nursery and then visit BIL, who is almost confined to the house nowadays, apart from going for his dyalisis. He adores her, so that should cheer him up.

Best wishes for all those with hospital appointments or are feeling low. flowers
Ginny you must be so excited!!
Oldgaijin, I hope you are on the mend.

Have a good day, all.

DanniRae Tue 25-Jun-19 08:25:23

Good Morning from a very soggy South East London - it rained and rained in the night - I thought it would never stop.
Going to visit my daughter and new grandson today. I am hoping for lots of cuddles.
Booked a holiday yesterday to Portugal - Tui Gold hotel (adults only) We have been there before and can't wait to go again but it's not till September. So something to look forward to smile

Good Morning everyone from a very rainy Surrey. I am skulking in bed still with a cup of tea as downstairs sounds chaotic. My DS, Dil, and 2 little DCs are living with us whilst their home is renovated. I completely adore having them here and we are so lucky we are still in the old family home so there is room - but the place is taken over by STUFF. I am not complaining - I am over the moon to have them here, but as a very tidy person I am definitely having to look the other way. Also it’s hard not to jump in and start washing up and wiping floors after them as I don’t want to look as if I am criticising- I don’t want to be that Mil! My Dil is such a sweet natured little darling - if a bit messy! my Ds is the light of my life and works so hard but with such humour and oozes love, and as for those babies! My DH is here with me, but because of his increasing memory problems, more like another child. I am blessed though.

Sprout Tue 25-Jun-19 08:33:24

Morning Mick and all. Rain all night sun trying to get a look in but not certain it will. Normal day with housework and phone calls to make then see what happens. Have a good day everyone and those still in bed due to not feeling well my thoughts and best wishes are with you.

Auntieflo Tue 25-Jun-19 08:37:39

Good morning Michael, Annie to come and all, from a wet and grey Berks.
I tried to post yesterday, but it got stuck, snd wouldn't 'go'. Also had the 'server down' message a few times!
Off volunteering this afternoon, looking forward to that, as I work with such a lovely lot.
Finished my knitted tea cosy yesterday, and made a storage bag to hang inside a cupboard door for plastic bags. Am now crocheting a fine cotton cover for a milk jug. Seems I am going all retro, what with tea cosies and jug covers!!
Car insurance to sort either today or tomorrow, what a faff
that is, as I nearly always get going, then need to go and find some bit of paperwork or another.
Have a good day one and all.

Pittcity Tue 25-Jun-19 08:44:35

Good morning from Colchester where the sun has just gone in. Kept awake by humidity and thunderstorms last night, so feeling a bit groggy.

harrigran Tue 25-Jun-19 08:46:58

Good morning from a foggy NE.
Yesterday was mild but we did get the rain and a little thunder during the afternoon.
Went shopping and found a special offer on Champagne so felt the need to stock up, expensive trip as I only needed bread and milk.
Nothing on the cards today but I have a good book calling to me.

Anniebach Tue 25-Jun-19 08:53:49
