Good Morning Tuesday

A very late good morning from the North East. A very hectic start to the day and not a second of spare time to post. What with the breakfast café, uniforms, PE kits, teeth bushing and everything else in between there's barely time to draw breath. School runs were a bit more hectic than usual as the country roads were flooded. We were almost late for the buzzer at the primary but just made it in line. Then a mad dash up to "this place" . Everyone out on site now so its just little old me on my own for the rest of the day. If it weren't for the company of the GN family I think I would go mad !

Good morning, back in east London, where it’s brightening up nicely. Shopping to do this morning then this evening off to the big rehearsal for the choir event on Thursday. Big event today is DSD’s bed frame being removed from our front room - we’ve been storing it for over a year while she sorted out her flat in st Leonard’s; it was a bit damp in our shed to leave it outside. Is it sad how happy I am to see it go. Have a good day.

Hi Norfk, sounds familar! If there's a large bird hovering anywhere it will spot us...

A ( lazy ) Good Morning All x
Woke up this morning bright as a button let the cats out and then put the kettle on. Went into the living room, drew the curtains and looked at the clock ! It was 4am. So light outside too, but however, forgot about the cuppa, let the cats back in then went back to bed.
Slept another 4 hours, had my cuppa, faffed about a bit, showered, put whites on to boil, breakfasted and here I am.

After a lovely day yesterday, an equally lovely sunset last night---no storms and just drizzly rain this morning so it looks as though we here in our little corner missed the worst.
It's still and quiet with just birdsong but doesn't " feel " thundery or anything.
Usual Asda trip if it bucks up later, though quite honestly there's nothing that I'm desperate for so I'll see what pans out.

Hope the storms have passed for everyone, we have the heat next I see which will suit me as I'll even go without my vest ! Have a good day everyone.

I woke just before 6am to the sound of torrential rain - so I went back to sleep. It was still 'raining stair rods' at 8am and has only just eased off to normal rain now.
This must be the June monsoon!

I was going shopping but may just do online shopping instead.

Good morning everyone from a oiler South Manchester. Rain late last night has freshened the air. The humidity yesterday evening was stifling.

Husband off over to build grandson’s new huge box of Lego! Good job he has the patience. It’ll take him hours. The 6y old lost interest yesterday after 10 minutes of putting it together - he just wants to play with it!

We will be taking him to his swimming lesson at teatime then we are meeting friends in a local bar (round the corner to us) for dink’s and a catch up.

Hoping Tuesday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning from a murky Aberdeenshire...It's thick haar outside. This is the first time I have felt brightish in days...the family are looking after themselves and bring me cups of tea at regular intervals. Think I might wander downstairs after a shower etc. and join the body of the kirk, if my rubber legs will allow.

Goid morning everyone ? from a blue-skied and very warm Godalming.
It was a hot hot night but today is fresh and still with sun making a real effort.
Beer-battered cod n chips with crushed peas, tartare, lemon enjoyed yesterday with OH in Lymington, followed by a mooch around the area.
Guildford today and a list of fruit n veg plus organic bread. I ate 2 punnets of strawbs yesterday...delish ?
I hope most of you miss(ed) the battering rain yesterday/today, I read that a Tesco in Scotland had their food cave in after a deluge.
Beware when buying fruit/veg from that store ?

Buongiorno from a very hot Italy. 36c on back porch already (in the shade)!! I've just put the washing out . It'll be dry in no time. I don't think I'll be venturing out much today as I can't stand the heat like I used to! Going to England on Saturday for a funeral on Monday, my 1st husband's mother. I always think of her fondly as MIL . It has taken 4 weeks from death to funeral, not like here when you are buried the next day!!
On a lighter note have a great day whatever your plans are.

Good morning from a foggy NE.
Yesterday was mild but we did get the rain and a little thunder during the afternoon.
Went shopping and found a special offer on Champagne so felt the need to stock up, expensive trip as I only needed bread and milk.
Nothing on the cards today but I have a good book calling to me.

Good morning from Colchester where the sun has just gone in. Kept awake by humidity and thunderstorms last night, so feeling a bit groggy.

Good morning Michael, Annie to come and all, from a wet and grey Berks.
I tried to post yesterday, but it got stuck, snd wouldn't 'go'. Also had the 'server down' message a few times!
Off volunteering this afternoon, looking forward to that, as I work with such a lovely lot.
Finished my knitted tea cosy yesterday, and made a storage bag to hang inside a cupboard door for plastic bags. Am now crocheting a fine cotton cover for a milk jug. Seems I am going all retro, what with tea cosies and jug covers!!
Car insurance to sort either today or tomorrow, what a faff
that is, as I nearly always get going, then need to go and find some bit of paperwork or another.

Good Morning everyone from a very rainy Surrey. I am skulking in bed still with a cup of tea as downstairs sounds chaotic. My DS, Dil, and 2 little DCs are living with us whilst their home is renovated. I completely adore having them here and we are so lucky we are still in the old family home so there is room - but the place is taken over by STUFF. I am not complaining - I am over the moon to have them here, but as a very tidy person I am definitely having to look the other way. Also it’s hard not to jump in and start washing up and wiping floors after them as I don’t want to look as if I am criticising- I don’t want to be that Mil! My Dil is such a sweet natured little darling - if a bit messy! my Ds is the light of my life and works so hard but with such humour and oozes love, and as for those babies! My DH is here with me, but because of his increasing memory problems, more like another child. I am blessed though.
