Good morning all, as Kitty says quite overcast and drizzling in Leicestershire.

I do hope Mick and Blue get their water sorted out soon. I hate not having a shower first thing!

To all those who are poorly or have hospital appointments I do hope you have a good(ish) day.

We are off to Cambridge for the weekend to visit friends of over 50 years!

Good morning from east morning, looks dull like everywhere else. Tennis coaching this morning if I get a move on, school pickup later on to taxi GD over to her dad’s then off to election training in preparation for next week (my one ‘working day’ of the year). Big laugh yesterday, it took a text mid afternoon from my sister to remind us it was our first wedding anniversary; how could we have forgot that when it took us 35 years to do it...

Morning all feeling a bit a hey today after half hour I. Dentists yesterday crown done all sorted.back to work later on wishing it was 5.30 already!! Got no plans for the weekend just garden time.

Good. Morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and chilly in South Yorkshire and will probably rain later. Sorry you have no hot water Mick; what a pain! We have a quiet day. I have chicken pie to make for GS who is coming for tea and a sleepover. He is the arch chicken pie aficionado, so it had better be right! Have a good day, folks.

Gillybob, being nearly an octogenarian myself it's surprising what we do eat ! Well some of us Keeps you going. I had two shops last week and will be off again early next week. I eat enough for two !

Marydoll it is difficult doing little or nothing when you've been used to doing it all but believe me just do what your body dictates which is more rest than work now and you'll be fine. Never push yourself. " Hearty " problems ? Take it easy !!

Good morning all, I am very late this morning, and very cold, thank goodness I have hot water. Not feeling on top of the world, but must be fine by lunch time as we are taking my son to have a chat about some really bad teeth he needs to have extracted (for those who do not know he is a grown man of 60, lives in sheltered accommodations because he has learning disability and is much loved and cared for by staff, but reinforcements are needed when it comes to teeth) Take care everyone, and enjoy your days.

Good Morning! Still sunny in the North East at Ten o'clock. Feeling apprehensive today - have to take my Dad (93) from his residential care home for an assessment at an EMI home because he has become too much for the residential home to manage. Glad the weather's good though - the EMI home is purpose built and has beautiful gardens. We have to leave Dad for 4 hours to see how he gets on. I will be on tenterhooks. Wish me luck!

Well, it was grey and miserable first thing, but it has brightened up a bit now and, although cloudy, the sun is out too.
I must stir my stumps now, as I’ve got a few jobs to be getting on with.

I do believe it is colder now than first thing this morning. Had my scarf and gloves on when outside earlier. Thinking no garden work for me this pm i will curl up on the sofa with my knitting and turn up the heating instead.

I'm freezing here in Devon and thinking of putting the heating on. Or I could go back to bed, which would be a lot cheaper!
