Good Morning Friday

I'm freezing here in Devon and thinking of putting the heating on. Or I could go back to bed, which would be a lot cheaper!

I do believe it is colder now than first thing this morning. Had my scarf and gloves on when outside earlier. Thinking no garden work for me this pm i will curl up on the sofa with my knitting and turn up the heating instead.

Well, it was grey and miserable first thing, but it has brightened up a bit now and, although cloudy, the sun is out too.
I must stir my stumps now, as I’ve got a few jobs to be getting on with.

Good Morning! Still sunny in the North East at Ten o'clock. Feeling apprehensive today - have to take my Dad (93) from his residential care home for an assessment at an EMI home because he has become too much for the residential home to manage. Glad the weather's good though - the EMI home is purpose built and has beautiful gardens. We have to leave Dad for 4 hours to see how he gets on. I will be on tenterhooks. Wish me luck!

Good morning all, I am very late this morning, and very cold, thank goodness I have hot water. Not feeling on top of the world, but must be fine by lunch time as we are taking my son to have a chat about some really bad teeth he needs to have extracted (for those who do not know he is a grown man of 60, lives in sheltered accommodations because he has learning disability and is much loved and cared for by staff, but reinforcements are needed when it comes to teeth) Take care everyone, and enjoy your days.

Gillybob, being nearly an octogenarian myself it's surprising what we do eat ! Well some of us Keeps you going. I had two shops last week and will be off again early next week. I eat enough for two !

Marydoll it is difficult doing little or nothing when you've been used to doing it all but believe me just do what your body dictates which is more rest than work now and you'll be fine. Never push yourself. " Hearty " problems ? Take it easy !!

Good morning from east morning, looks dull like everywhere else. Tennis coaching this morning if I get a move on, school pickup later on to taxi GD over to her dad’s then off to election training in preparation for next week (my one ‘working day’ of the year). Big laugh yesterday, it took a text mid afternoon from my sister to remind us it was our first wedding anniversary; how could we have forgot that when it took us 35 years to do it...

Good morning everyone from a damp South Manchester. Streaks of sun between the cloud but I imagine the clouds will win out.

I have a very sore throat which started last night - like swallowing a razor blade and was up at 5am for ibuprofen. Luckily went back to sleep and now it’s time for tea and paracetamol.

I was supposed to be eating out for lunch but shan’t now.

Have a good Friday everybody I hope it’s kind to us all, whether we have plans or (like me now) none at all. x

Morning all from an overcast South Notts. A quiet day today, not visiting as I've got a bad cold.
On the way to the dentist on Wednesday a small insect flew into my eye and now the eyelid is red and swollen. What with puffy cheeks from the dentistry I'm a sight for sore eyes.
Hope you get your water fixed Mick and Bluesapphire, trust all is well with everyone.

Good morning, overcast but not as windy as yesterday.
DH has lunchtime hospital appointment again but he has to leave hours in advance to secure a parking place, anyway last appointment until Monday.
All the washing and ironing done yesterday so that just leaves grocery shopping for the weekend. I check the TV times and go to the supermarket when popular programmes are on, amazes me how quiet it gets.

Good Morning from a bright but cool and breezy Fife. No plans for today will wait and see what the day brings. Yes it's Friday again, where the week goes to I do not know. Hope today is good to everyone.

Good morning from a still sunny Aberdeenshire, tho' there is more cloud and it is cooler. The mutt is curled up beside me but if I whisper 'woods' he'll be at the front door, tail wagging, lead in mouth so I had better get up.
Had my pre assessment at hospital yesterday ready for chemo on Tuesday...what a faff, I could well do without this but I have a good gang of friends who have a rota to drive me there and back.

A rather late Good morning from the NE coast . A rather cloudy start but the sun is breaking through.

Off to “that place” then taking my dad for his second shop of the week (how does an 81 year old man go through all that stuff?) . Might cook something nice for supper today as we’ve had a bit of a “make do” freezer week so far.

Meeting a friend for coffee and then to the hospital for blood tests, they have a walk in centre whereas my own surgery you have to wait weeks for a blood test appointment.

No real plans today, have to buy wrapping paper for DGD's birthday present, as she will be 8 tomorrow. May go to Merry Hill centre and see what I can buy for our holiday in June.

Tonight we are going to a play at the Town Hall, then a curry afterwards.

Hope Blue and Mick get the water problems sorted today.

Good morning all, a bit cloudy here in Glasgow, but looks as if it might brighten up.

That's a pain , having no hot water Mick, I hoped it's fixed soon. No hot water, reminds me of my youth hostelling days!❄️

DH is going to do the supermarket run today, I usually insist on coming, but I'm happy to stay in. I will try and bite my tongue when he comes back with all sorts of strange items, not on the list! ?

I had a good day yesterday, just pottering about, but I cannot shake off that guilty feeling, that I should be busy all the time.
DH got a fair bit done in the garden, ( under my vigilant supervision ?) and I managed to get my leeks planted, so I'm a happy bunny!

Today will be another resting day, I still have chest pain when I do too much, so contrary to my usual behaviour, I shall have to do as I'm told!!!

Good morning everyone from a very grey Essex by the sea. I'm having my hair cut this morning, then DH and I are off to Kent this afternoon for a black tie dinner tonight. My posh frock is ready and waiting !!

Good Morning everyone , cooler and dull here but dry .
Some of the family visiting over the weekend ,

Cold grey and drizzle in the air here today.Global warming, wish it would happen here for a few more days!!! Off out today to get my fringe trimmed at the hairdresser, then attend my knit and natter group, or stitch and bitch,depending on what we all chat about. Have to pick up a few bits from the shops then home to spend the rest of the day pottering in the garden if the rain holds off and if not after lunch i will continue with my knitting as i have started a complicated jumper which is a huge challenge for me. I have heard that knitting and mastering new patterns is good for the brain, just worry that sitting to do it is not!!!! . What ever you are doing have fun and enjoy your day.
