Dragonfly, just seen those gorgeous pictures. So sweet!

Dragonfly, just seen those gorgeous pictures. So sweet!
Latest update after today's physio session is that by the end of it Himself was walking with 2 sticks and then only 1 stick and looking like the cat who had got ALL the cream! So now he is allowed to use sticks on level ground but crutches otherwise but still for only 3 sessions of 20 minutes per day. It is not pain free or even properly healed yet so I think he is doing amazingly well and it shows just how determined he is. I am very proud of him!
So you should be, he is a real trooper.
All those anxious weeks have proved to be worth it.
Well done him and you, behind every successful man .....
Synonymous I am well aware that DH had many anxious moments thinking if he had an amputation that would be him totally immobile but not a bit of it-he has gone from strength to strength and three months from now he may still have phantom pains but otherwise he will be 25 years younger with no infection or pain from the joint.
I agree with Ann!
Dragonfly are you sure you are not breeding them?

That’s such good news synonymous and yes, a real step forward panache, please accept all offers of help. Keep on resting soop and take those pills.
How very dare they charley: you certainly sorted it, good for you.
I worry about a virus not wanting to leave kitty, take it easy when you can.
TOYA, take care everyone
Synonymous that’s wonderful news.
Beautiful pictures Dragonfly, how could anyone ever contemplate killing those gorgeous cubs?
Synonymous, well done to your brave hubby. He is amazing.
Soop, I hope that McGarfield becomes a regular visitor to Rory`s chalet, hopefully you`ll get a pic of him enjoying his supper.
CharleyG, I can`t believe the cheek of those workmen, how could they confuse your garden with the roadside? I hope you are suitably recompensed.
Panache, I hope that Tuesday`s trip to the apartment is productive.
Galen, get yourself back here on the double!
I`m looking forward to tomorrow afternoon, I`m going to tea at daughter 2`s house.
Wow, syn, thats such good news your good man is a testament to the resilience both the human body and spirit.
panache things seem to be moving the right direction for you both too, it’s amazing what having contact with the right supportive folk can achieve.
anneliese, when we lived in London we regularly had tits and jays in the garden now we’re in much more rural area in the north we see more birds in the garden but no jays! Great foxy photos dragonfly, I love the look of them but must admit I wasn't so keen on the smell they left in our urban garden. Seldom see one where we are now.
Your son will be glad to come to the end of his treatment plan callgirl. Hope it’s brought positive results. Talking of treatment, hope your side effects are subsiding soop, exciting news on the cat front!
It’s well past my bedtime so I wont linger, but will leave a couple of photos of today’s walk, they're not great as I only had my phone and not my usual camera. I think the bird was a nuthatch?
As always toya x
callgirl it was not the workmen who could not tell the difference between block paving and grass, it was the so called council designer who came round to find another spot for a lampost.
I think we do need an extra post- I looked out last night and it was very dim indeed. Anyway another post will not be going in my garden anytime soon. My hassle now is to get the council to get rid of the bags of rubble and the barriers.
I am changing my name to Rip van Winkle I think. Tara woke me around 5.30am, I do not surface then- went back to sleep, it was my phone ringing which woke me at 10am or I would still be slumbering.

Hope all folk with botherations are managing well today and that you have the same glorious sunshine which makes everything feel better. We also have (almost) a day off with just a coz coming to take us out for lunch and to tell us all about her holiday! She enjoys deadheading so I am hoping she has a wonderful day in the garden!
Such lovely photos GrannyQ! It would be wonderful to be able to get out and actually walk in a beautiful wood but your photos are the next best thing and really stir up lovely memories. Thank you!
Charleygirl we recently had all our lampposts updated to computer controlled lightning of some kind and you would not believe the carry on with neighbours wanting the lamps shifted away from their properties. The workmen were very helpful and managed to work it all out to everyone's satisfaction and the result is that we have a very well lit corner around our bungalow with which we are very happy! I would not have been happy with one in the middle of our garden!
Smokie stayed out last Sunday night and strolled in after breakfast the next morning when we were just about to leave for the hospital so we left him in the kitchen with toys and food etc and our gardener friend called in to play and give him cuddles. Smokie was not impressed, especially when we also stayed out overnight and he has been keeping a close eye on us ever since, continually checking to make sure we are still around and meeting us when we arrive home. I am hoping that this means his feral tendencies are receding - if they ever do.

Synonymous Tara is the same- she likes to come and go as she pleases but I should be waiting at home for her arrival. She is displeased if I go out for the evening so not at home when she appears after a full day out. Last year she was sitting outside the front door crying when my friends drove me home.
She sits outside the bathroom door waiting until I finish my shower, escorts me to my bedroom and usually goes elsewhere for 5 minutes and then makes an entrance to my room usually landing on or near my head and walking through my hair expecting loads of cuddles which she gets after I extricate her claws from my hair.
Those photos are beautiful.

GrannyQ I always feel as though I can step into your marvellous photos. Woodlands are my top favourite locations.
Synonymous Your joy with your dear husband's wonderful progress has spilled over and infected us lot. Please do hug him on our behalf. He most certainly is a trooper.
"Our" McGarfield was on a walkabout last night. The light was triggered. It was a black cat who appeared to be a tad edgey and didn't linger long enough to sample the buffet.
Just finished packing my pearls. Better think about some clothes now.
Norwegian fjords tomorrow for one week.
Have a wonderful holiday Galen, somewhere I want to visit before I am ancient and decrepit.
Great to see you Galen
Would have been nice if spec savers had delivered my new glasses on time. I might not see much of the fjords
Galen Yay! About time you dropped in for a wee catch up. I'm not surprised to hear that, true to form, you are packing those pearls and preparing to be pampered aboard a boat of note. I would also like to cruise along the Norwegian fjords. Keep us lot updated and do try to behave yourself.
I’m on my own so I’ve no one to lead me in bad ways?
Great to see you posting again Galen. Is this the cruise that you were taking with your neighbour, but worried about her health?
Yes!shes got terminal cancer
Oh dear, sorry to hear that, but I'm glad that you are still going on the cruise. I'm sure you will soon be chatting away to fellow passengers and leading them into mischief. Have a great time
Thanks. What’s not to enjoy about being waited on hand and foot and having 3 or more meals cooked for you?
Have a wonderful cruise galen. The fjords are so beautiful, with or without glasses. Bon Viyage.
Galen I would never suggest that anyone might lead you into mischief. On the other hand...
Neighbours will be calling in very shortly. Guess what? They have offered to bring cake...
