GPS nonsense

On another thread TwiceAsNice's phone glitch caused her to put St leafy rather than "At least" and it reminded me of my first encounter with GPS in a friend's car.

Our motorways are called State Highways, followed by a number. On a longish journey, the GPS would insist on guiding us to "Shhhh 16 or Shhhhh 1"

Later, we were told to: 'Turn left into Market Ess Tee"(Market St.) grin
The whole journey was hysterical, not least because of the many Maori names the robot had no idea how to say.

Do you have and hilarious GPS mis-spokes?

When I put in "home" it thinks I live in Wales!

We have to advise delivery people that using sat nav will take them to a different street. I’ve had delivery people ring from that address saying they’re outside my house when they’re not, and I have to tell them we’re street not avenue. Luckily it’s not too far away. Even the postman gets it wrong somehow and I get the Avenue address post and they get mine.
