I do find some of the pronunciations 'interesting' or rather incomprehensible! Especially in France!
Still, as long as it gets you there - which doesn't invariably happen. Hence I will always have a road map in the car - sometimes dh's faith in satnav is sadly misplaced, especially in rural areas.
After two separate occasions where it had taken us round and round in circles when visiting his relatives in rural Sussex, the next time I said, 'Will you please ring and get directions for the last couple of miles?'

One thing I've noticed is that although he used to be brilliant at finding/remembering his way anywhere, since relying for years on satnav in the car or on his phone, he's much less good at it now.
Use it or lose it, I suppose.
My sense of direction was always pretty hopeless, but OTOH I'm still good at reading maps!
