Good Morning Everyone,
Its light but looks a grey sky this morning in Brackley .
Looks like a week of change with the weather, mind you the blackthorn is still in blossom.

AC - adult child
GC - grandchild/ children
DD - dear daughter
anything with a D in front of it is Dear, although the endearment is sweet, it is unnecessary...the irony is that when posters are referring to their husbands who have cheated on them or have engaged in some misdemeanour, they are still referred to as DH ?
All in laws i.l.(m.i.l, f.i.l. d.i.l.)... di.l. being the most often used ?
Can't think of anything else...I'm sure other GN will add to this

I’m new to Gransnet and l love reading all the really interesting posts and comments but I don’t understand all the acronyms for family members etc (apologies for being a bit slow!)
So can you post a list please?!

Good morning Micheal, Anniebach and everyone from a bright, sunny and breezy Birmingham. Off to a NT property this morning with my youngest daughter and oldest grandaughter (she’s 2) for a belated Mothering Sunday walk and picnic. I hope to be back for my last writing class this term. I hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning, bright and sunny in east London, cooler than we've been used to. Tennis at lunchtime today then GD over after school. Quite excited as my new iPad is due to arrive today - I've had this one since 2012 and it's feeling its age. Just hope it comes with simple instructions. Have a good day.

Morning all from a bright South Notts.
Well, I've been good and done the ironing but this housework lark never ends, does it? Or in my case, rarely get started.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Anniebach Mon 01-Apr-19 09:02:31

"White Rabbits", a bit late , but good morning to Michael, Annie, to come , and all.
It is sunny and bright here, but chilly.
(Only one late comer to Church yesterday with the hour change)
Had a lovely day yesterday, saw our DD's family and was spoilt.
Need to see if I can get my long distance specs repaired today, as I don't want to have to have new ones. The sprung hinge has broken and S........s say they cannot be repaired. We shall see!
Lots of boring things I should be doing, but will procrastinate, and enjoy myself instead.
Enjoy your day one and all.

oldgaijin Mon 01-Apr-19 08:54:38

Good morning from a grey Aberdeenshire. No Mother's day flowers or anything yesterday...she forgot, but I did have a half hour chat on Whatsapp, which was the best, best part of the day and I saw a little bit of Singapore!
Laundry day today before taking the mutt to the woods. Yesterday's walk/run/chase was of Olympic standard, so we both slept well.
Have a great day everyone.

ninathenana Mon 01-Apr-19 08:44:19

Morning all.

Our last spring like day in Kent apparently. Cooler and rain for the next two days the forecast said.
I 've got laundry on as I need to sort stuff for our long weekend away.
Enjoy your lunch kitty
I hope you can get some relief Mary

Good morning, bright start in my part of NE.
Have to have blood sugar test this morning, won't take long and then the day is my own.
DS, DIL and GC came yesterday, I had text to say between 2 and 3pm. They actually arrived at 5.30pm saying they forgot about the clocks going forward confused

Susan56 Mon 01-Apr-19 08:35:33

Good morning All x
A change in the weather and it looks like rain, a bit of a come down from last week but I suppose we can expect some April showers at some point.

Hope those who are under the weather will improve as the day goes on as we now never know what we're waking up to.
Nothing planned so far so I'll see how the day pans out as regards dates for the gas engineers to start-----not looking forward to the further disruption etc.

Have as good a day as is possible.

NanKate Mon 01-Apr-19 08:14:19

Will be thinking of you today Mary hope you get some respite from the pain.

Grammaretto Mon 01-Apr-19 08:11:40

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Sunny again but it was very cold last night. Hope I didn't sow the seeds too soon.
Dentist first thing for me. I'm meeting an old friend later.

I hope you get some pain relief Marydoll

Methinks the only true tricksters today will be our body clocks.

aggie Mon 01-Apr-19 08:11:05

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire and we are waiting for GS to wake up and come hunting for his phone and his milk and biscuit! We are off to the nine hole golf course this afternoon. I will be caddying and offering advice?! Gaga I would love to be there to see that. Hope she gets in her way okay! Have a good day folks.

crazyH Mon 01-Apr-19 07:57:32

Goodmorning Mick and all, from Wales.
I don't usually wake up this early....I'm not a morning person. But went to bed early last night (10 pm is early for me), after a couple of glasses of Prosecco at my son's house. And besides, my right knee is playing up again. Must see the GP at some point.
Going to take it easy today.
Have a lovely week everyone!

Brunette10 Mon 01-Apr-19 07:53:18
