Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky start here in Brackley this morning , my usual day of going to Bicester and Buckingham , for a shop, coffees and in Buckingham the Saturday flea market , where bargains of interest such as old maps of the local area, I usually buy.

Have you ventured out on Fred yet Annie?
Auntieflo: After many weeks of very warm/hot dry weather my brand new red electric scooter was delivered on Wednesday and christened "Freda", but would you believe, here in Melbourne the weather immediately turned to Winter; even had a white carpet of hail today! As Rodney Trotter would say "just my luck"; we badly need rain, but not in the frozen form! sad
Now that your Spring has sprung with promise of warm weather (?) I'm sure Annie will soon be back in the saddle; I wish her well! smile

Good morning All x
It doesn't know what to do here, weatherwise, slightly dull but doesn't feel too cold.
I arose quite early listening to the many birdsongs going on and it was so soothing that I nodded off. Anyway, nothing on the agenda so far but I have to stay put for a " delivery ".

GGC are all away for a week on their usual caravan holiday. D has their little pug dog with her own Pyrenean/Bernese dog and there's fun and games-------I bet there is !

I'll be making a cake later for tomorrow, possibly a lemon drizzle as I notice I have a couple of nice lemons in the fruit dish and a pkt of icing sugar since Christmas ( should be okay )

Hope everyone's day is enjoyable though sad for those who've suffered losses.

I am very anti Ibuprofen as a long term treatment , but as a short term treatment for acute pain it is hard to beat and will not do harm if you take it with food

Morning Michael, Annie and all. Have you ventured out on Fred yet Annie? Hope the therapy is doung some good.
Bright sunshine outside and we are off to our usual Sat. morning coffee meet up with friends, and to take an embroidery, that I finished yesterday, in to a friend, for her new GS.
Wondering whether to buy crumble mix for tomorrow’s pud shock or stir my stumps and make it smile.
My hip has been really painful for 10 days or so, but after reading all the no-nos about Ibrobrufen, I’ll stick to the paracetamol.
Good news about your DH NFKdumpling, and also wondering how Luckygirl and her DH are getting on.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Good morning everyone from a really bright and sunny ?Northampton.

Out to a Well-being exhibition this morning which two friends are involved with.

Then DD picking me up later for dinner at hers, it will be lovely not to cook!

Hope the day goes well for all.

Marydoll Sat 30-Mar-19 09:09:48

Kalu, it's called Pretty Little Things and it's on South Street.
I always mix up the two streets.
Enjoy!

Good morning all x

Blue sky here in SE Essex, lovely to wake up in my own bed this morning- fabulous holiday, but “there is no place like home”

Off to AC’s later, for “Mother’s Day” , 3 AC, wives, 1 boyfriend and 4 GC, will be a fun afternoon/evening. They decided a few years ago that my Mother’s Day is on the Saturday so that they can celebrate with their wives on Sunday- that way we all have “a special day”

Keep safe and have a lovely day x

Morning from a grey S Welsh Coast, hope it btightens up.
* Gilly* my grandfather hailed from Sunderland, when our DC were little they pronounced "rain" with a distinct Geordie accent - as my mother would say, throwbacks.
Glad your husband is better NFK

Good morning...

from sunny Kent.
The laundry is on, and will be on the line soon. DH will be cooking brunch when he gets back from town. This afternoon I must do some admin.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all, cool overcast and still so far , we had some lovely sunshine yesterday . My Sister was here and DD! brought in a hefty Photo album she had had made on line and printed , seems you can do that and have it sent , well it was at least 2 years worth and lovely to see , but I couldn't sleep after it , going over in my minds eye all the grandkids and poor dear departed OH

Morning all from a bright and sunny South Notts. Will have my usual lazy day today with the crossword, though I may rouse myself to go for a walk. My hip's playing up a bit and too much sitting doesn't help. OTOH it's probably not a good idea to overdo it either. Good wishes to all.

oldgaijin Sat 30-Mar-19 08:55:33

Good morning from a grey'ish Aberdeenshire, but the sun is appearing and looks to be a decent day. The mutt and I are off to the woods again...I would vary our walks but he would miss all his new chums.
Think it should be a gardening day but it could be a greenhouse pottering day.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

I wish my boys were going on the supporters bus too Harris27 at least they would be guaranteed a seat. I’m really worried about them getting on the train safely . Apparently there are approximately 30,000 fans travelling by train today. ?

I hope they win too. Need to find somewhere to watch it tomorrow as we don’t have SKY TV.

Harris27 Sat 30-Mar-19 08:43:58

Hi from cool ne.nyes gillybob I'm in same thoughts as you as my boys go to Wembley they are travelling tomorrow on the supporters bus and up and ou by 3.30 dh will be shattered but as he says this doesn't happen very often. A dive mentioned before my mam died wednesday and Mother's Day will be hard as my boys are away but my sis and I are going to go for afternoon tea at a quiet little farm place we know. Hope Sunderland win!!!

Kalu Sat 30-Mar-19 08:32:43

Oh, if you insist Mary?. Shoes✔️ I didn’t mention the shop on Market Street, which I know only too well, only because I can never remember the name but yes, it’s on the list.

Thank you Brunette. I have been visiting St Andrews for many years and always enjoy any time spent there. Don’t spend too much at the garden centre, another favourite haunt of mine.

gillybob Sat 30-Mar-19 08:15:43

It’s another bright start here on the NE coast but much cooler than yesterday (typical it’s Saturday). I was hoping to get in the garden yesterday afternoon after work but by the time I’d taken my dad shopping and took him home etc. It wasn’t worth it.

My DS and DGS are off to Wembley totady to see their beloved Sunderland play in the Checkatrade trophy tomorrow . They have had their train seats booked for weeks but LNER (the swines) have cancelled all seat reservations and turned it into a free for all. I’m really worried for their safety and imagine a lot of pushing and shoving to get on the trains. They are also saying they can’t guarantee that you will even get in the train you booked ! Where else could you get away with that? I will be worried until I know they are safe.

Nothing much planned for today, might see DD and the baby later as she has a very rare weekend off work.

Enjoy your lunch in St Andrews Kalu it’s a place I have never visited. I do like the sound of the “Aladdin’s Cave” Ironmongers and the other one on the corner of Market Street Marydoll smile

Have a good Saturday everyone x

Pittcity Sat 30-Mar-19 08:14:43

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another warm day in the offing. I will need to water the garden pots this evening.
DH is out all day so I am going into town to potter around the shops unhindered.

Mythbirtthedragon Sat 30-Mar-19 08:14:21

Good morning from east London- looking bright outside. Yesterday playing tennis, I felt it could be sun cream time - we were trying to guess the temperature - warm was the conclusion. Grocery shop today and must set off my tomato seeds. Anything that stops me from dusting. Have a good day.

NanKate Sat 30-Mar-19 08:11:29

Morning Mick and All.

Will take this weekend slowly as we are recovering from looking after the DGSs for 6 days and then last night went to the packed Elvis Concert - phew.

That shop in St Andrew’s sounds like my kind of shop Mary don’t ask how many pendants, necklaces, bracelets I own, all I will say is that I could fill a whole stall in an African bazaar ?

Brunette10 Sat 30-Mar-19 08:02:35

Good Morning to all and to those who follow. A dull start here in Fife and I think it will remain like that, much cooler too today. Planning on gong to a garden centre in NE Fife today and somewhere for lunch whilst we are out roaming the countryside smile Hope Saturday is good to everyone. Kalu - love St. Andrews enjoy your day.

Marydoll Sat 30-Mar-19 08:00:43

Good morning all from a dull Glasgow, but I'm hopeful for a bit of sunshine later.
I too am having an easy day today. It's been a pretty exhausting week, especially after my long day out with DIL and DGD yesterday. Three year old DGD decided she was an old lady and would use my walking stick, it was a lethal weapon in her hands!

I will see DS1, DIL and DGD later today and I have a feeling DS2 will also appear. DD has been touring Scotland all week and I didn't realise how much I would miss her.sad When she is here she drives me mad! grin

Kalu, I abolutely love St Andrew's and especially that shop on the corner of Market Street which is an Aladdin's cave of scarves, jewellery, clothes etc. You have my permission to treat yourself to some shoes! grin

Have a good Saturday, everyone.

Willow10 Sat 30-Mar-19 08:00:33

Good morning all. Another beautiful day in E. Northants - I could get used to this! It's so nice to hear the birds and watch them building their nests. Some washing and a bit more wardrobe sorting today (it's the Marie Kondo effect). Hope the day is a pleasant one for all.

Urmstongran Sat 30-Mar-19 07:55:20

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s calm and dry. No sun yet but the sky is a pale blue wash. No sight of the Pennines yet though.

I’m off to the salon at 9am for a French manicure then this afternoon we are meeting my cousins and their partners in the pub over the road. Must remember to pace myself I don’t want a bad head tomorrow!

Have a good Saturday all whatever your plans or none. x

harrigran Sat 30-Mar-19 07:51:45

Good morning from a bright but cool NE.
Yesterday we did a walk around a wildlife park, it was 18 degrees and so peaceful. No chance of a quiet day on a Saturday.
