Good morning.A dry start to the day in Shropshire.An unusually early start for me today,haven’t slept much since my husbands accident on Thursday.Another day of rest for him and of us both being so thankful that he will recover from his injuries.

Good morning from a light rainy start in Glasgow. Occasional burst of sun breaking through does make a dreich day more bearable?

No tooth extraction necessary yesterday as my lovely dentist worked his usual magic. The downside is it’s time for a visit with the hygenist which I find worse than going to the dentist. My appointment is for April 1st!

Hoping to have a long enough break in the clouds tonight allowing us a good siting of the Northern Lights. Loch Lomond is reported as the best spot for any siting.

Enjoy watching your cycling Mick I have started cycling again, nothing like the level you enjoy, just tottling about at a comfortable speed.

DH bought me a Dutch bike for my 69th birthday last month. I have talked about getting a Dutch model for years and by chance a near neighbour was selling hers. Yippee.

Good morning from a sunny Glasgow, no rain here Kalu It's a lovely, bright morning, I wonder how long it will last. ?
I looked up, "Dutch" bike, thinking it was a specialised bike and I was a bit "thick". I didn't realise it was an actual Dutch bike with a basket, I'm so envious! I have never had a bike of my own and have always wanted one.

Susan, I hope you and your husband are taking it easy.

Its bright and mild in North Leicestershire. Not sure what today holds but hopefully not much. A friend (who we first met when she came to work for dh) came for supper last night and rather a lot of was taken.

There is, of course, the clearing up to do!!!

Bright day in north east got washing to sort then off to sins new home. Went to see calendar girls at the Sunderland empire last night fabulous show but dissapointed that two big names weren't there.nfern Britton and Ruth Madoc? Denise Welsh was In It and others supporting ladies excellent. Do feels bit short changed though! Have a good day all!

I too was wondering about the Dutch bike Marydoll. Thanks for beating me to it before googling myself. It sounds wonderful Kalu, I would have loved to be able to cycle. I did learn about 6 years ago but never really felt confident and always wobbled.
A quiet day planned here today but I may persuade DH to take a trip out for lunch somewhere. I need some fresh air too after too much time in the car yesterday, shopping and ferrying DGD to get to ballet class.

Morning all! It's still overcast and grey here on the south coast but mild-ish.

Need to go an collect my repeat scrip this morning and to find a large Easter Egg for DH, who unlike me, loves the chocolate from them. I always think it tastes a bit stale so am not a fan. I shall hide it until Easter Morning as usual.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A sunny start in South Yorkshire. GS has been here overnight as his Ma and Pa are running a half marathon this morning. Not sure what we will be doing, but making shortbread has been requested, then maybe a walk or a swim. Kalu I have no idea what a Dutch bike is, but I used to cycle everywhere when we lived in Holland. Then we came home and the hills defeated me! Have a good day, folks.

Good morning everyone from South Manchester.its dry and mild. Am off over to mind our 2y old granddaughter in a couple of hours whilst her mum & dad take the six year old to a mini football tournament. At least it’s dry for them all.

Sorry to hear about your husband’s accident Susan56 and hope he (and you) get over it soon. I think it’s the sheer randomness and ‘what if’s’ of an accident that scare us afterwards. ?

Grey All The years that we passed through Holland I promised my self I would buy a bike there but never did.
The Dutch bike is so called because of the style of frame so all the bikes you saw during your time there that’s what every cyclist, of which there were so many, rode. I especially liked the ones with the children carriers at the front.

Good Morning, it is sunny here on the Bristol Channel coast in South Wales.
Slept far better last night. Hospital visit yesterday was fine, doctor pleased with my foot after seeing X-ray. I have a moon boot for the next six weeks and joy of joys, I can take it off to sleep.
Mapleleaf - no accident, I have arthritis in my foot.
Thanks for all your good wishes yesterday. It was lovely to see all the primroses up the banks and at the side of the road, a true sign of Spring.

Good Morning from a dull but dry Black Country.

Operation painting newly skimmed kitchen walls this weekend. First the Primer, then 2 coats of white paint. Then the colour, which we haven't chosen yet! May go on into the week!

Sorry to hear about your DH's accident Susan56 and hope he is not too badly hurt, and you are both getting over the shock

Good morning all. When we lived in Holland I used to put my DS on the front of my bike and my DD on the back. I had a Dutch bike as in made in Holland but not the heavy sit up and beg bike kalu has. Many Dutch bikes have back peddling brakes also but I could never manage those.

Good morning everyone. It’s a bright and sunny start here on the NE coast.

DH and I had a rare meal out in Newcastle last night as a belated anniversary treat, we enjoyed a bottle of red wine between us too, so having a bit of a lazy start this morning.

I hope your DH is takin* i5 very easy and improves every day Susan (what a shock it must’ve been for you).

Good news from the dentist Kalu . I had a check up a couple of weeks back and needed no treatment....phew....I always dread what might have to be done. I love having the clean and polish though. I too am envious of the bike with the basket Kalu we bought our DD one as a surprise for Christmas a few years back, so she could cycle down to ours, but she hasn’t been able to use it since having the baby , such a shame . I’m not sure whether she would have a baby seat on the back?

I’m not surprised you felt a bit cheated with 2 of the “main stars” missing from the show Harris27 I would have felt like that too.

Might have a potter in the garden later if the weather stays nice.... who knows.
