And goodnight all from Germany. I shall be coming „home“ for a long weekend next Saturday and cannot wait. We‘ll be celebrating dad‘s 96th Birthday! And thank goodness that Brexit has been delayed as I feared MAYhem at customs.

Good afternoon from an intermittently Sunny Birmingham. My two year old grandaughter is here for the night, and we’re just about to go shopping for some pasta and vegetables for dinner. She likes to “help” me cook, so she can have a go at stirring the cooked cooled vegetables into her pasta and sprinkling on some cheese. Once she has settled for the night I’ll have a glass of wine and catch up on some tv.

Thank you for all your kind messages. We are over the initial shock but like you say Urmstongran,it’s the what ifs that have been keeping me awake.Having a couple of restful days then the practicalities next week, starting with buying a new car?thank you all again.x

Morning just getting ready to go food shopping. Weather here in Nottinghamshire is bright little bit of blue sky trying to peep through. Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Annapops Sat 23-Mar-19 11:24:28

Thanks Kalu but I think I would be more suited to a trike. Happy cycling.

Good morning all from Devon, grey but dry here. Hoping I might get into the garden today but it will depend how I feel, 3rd lot of antibiotics in 7 weeks, all for different health problems. Still off to see DGS1 tomorrow for his Birthdaysmile

Ginny42 Sat 23-Mar-19 11:13:37

Thank you Kalu. My fault, walked into a radiator going to the loo in the dark.

Loved the film clip Gilly, it made them look such a glamourous pair. Newman's smile was unique and the look on his face when he saw the bull! Hope you don't encounter any bulls on your cycle ride Kalu, mind you, Highland cattle are a bit scary.

Kalu Sat 23-Mar-19 10:56:48

Gilly wonderful. Loved that scene

DH has an electric bike so we are off to try this in the garden and as he can’t hold a note, I will do the singing??.
Aye right!!

Sorry you are having foot trouble Ginny ?

Good morning All x
Bright and trying to be sunny calm and mild here on the banks of the Mersey.
Not long finished talking to my D in Australia and looking forward to her visit in June----not long now.

Bit of local shopping----fruit and veg shop but don't need much else.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the GN tour of the UK this morning with everyone's news and all the friendly greetings. Got a bad foot so feeling a bit sorry for myself I decided to sit and read GN.

North Cheshire's a bit grey but slowly getting brighter. Wish I could see the Northern Lights later, although I did see them a couple of years ago here. Kalu do plant up the bicycle basket with flowers!

Have a good day everyone.

BlueSapphire Sat 23-Mar-19 09:18:51

And feeling pleased with myself as I have done all but a couple of clues in the Telegraph cryptic crossword!smile

Auntieflo Sat 23-Mar-19 09:12:06

Morning Michael, Annie and all. It’s a bit dull outside and looks very still. Our Robin is pottering around the garden. Not much happening today, but hospital tomorrow for DH to have a CT scan. Sorry to hear about your DH Susan, wishing you and him all the best.
Enjoy your weekend one and all.

Good morning, what gillybob said regarding the weather.
Slept in this morning after a late bedtime last night.
Had problems with right hand yesterday and kept dropping things, sadly one of them was a glass of champagne on the lounge carpet. I will need to check for stains this morning ?

Good morning from Northampton where it's a bit grey but promises to brighten up later. So I shall be cutting the front grass.

A good day yesterday - met a friend for coffee in Sainsburys, bought a new top, had DGDS after school for tea, and then to crown it all watched Northampton Saints thrash our arch-rivals Leicester Tigers 29-15 on tv! An excellent win for us.

Early dinner this evening as am going to watch DD play (flute) in her concert band's 100th anniversary concert.

Hope everyone's day goes well.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all from South Notts where it's fairly bright. The blossom is out on our two trees in the front garden which look so lovely.
A lazy day today with the newspaper and the giant crossword - I get very cross if I don't finish it!
Hope all is well for those of you with illness or injury.

Mythbirtthedragon Sat 23-Mar-19 08:46:06

Good morning from east London, dull but a bit brighter than early on. Hope the rain holds off this morning; I'm playing in the final of my tennis club's ladies doubles 2018 (should have been played last September) and it's got to the point I just want to get it over and done with. have a good day everyone.

Kalu Sat 23-Mar-19 08:39:18

Pleased to hear you and DH managed to have your belated meal out Gilly?

What a fabulous surprise present for your DD. Hope she can find some time to have a quick cycle just for enjoyment. If you get the chance you might enjoy a wee shot yourself?

Brunette10 Sat 23-Mar-19 08:26:59

Good morning to everyone from a bright and sunny Fife. Later start today however no plans to do very much. DH is going to power wash driveway so that’s a job in itself. I will busy myself around house which fortunately I will enjoy. Dutch bike Kalu sounds good. My DSIL owns a bike shop and I believe has sold some of these bikes. Both DH and I have always promised ourselves to get out and about on bikes but alas it sounds good and healthy but have never actually done it yet. Maybe one day. Susan wishing your DH a speedy recovery. Hope today is a good day for everyone, take care.

gillybob Sat 23-Mar-19 08:21:04

Good morning everyone. It’s a bright and sunny start here on the NE coast.

DH and I had a rare meal out in Newcastle last night as a belated anniversary treat, we enjoyed a bottle of red wine between us too, so having a bit of a lazy start this morning.

I hope your DH is takin* i5 very easy and improves every day Susan (what a shock it must’ve been for you).

Good news from the dentist Kalu . I had a check up a couple of weeks back and needed no treatment....phew....I always dread what might have to be done. I love having the clean and polish though. I too am envious of the bike with the basket Kalu envy we bought our DD one as a surprise for Christmas a few years back, so she could cycle down to ours, but she hasn’t been able to use it since having the baby , such a shame . I’m not sure whether she would have a baby seat on the back?

I’m not surprised you felt a bit cheated with 2 of the “main stars” missing from the show Harris27 I would have felt like that too.

Might have a potter in the garden later if the weather stays nice.... who knows.

Have a great Saturday everyone x

dragonfly46 Sat 23-Mar-19 08:20:43

Good morning all. When we lived in Holland I used to put my DS on the front of my bike and my DD on the back. I had a Dutch bike as in made in Holland but not the heavy sit up and beg bike kalu has. Many Dutch bikes have back peddling brakes also but I could never manage those.

NannyJan53 Sat 23-Mar-19 08:20:28

Good Morning from a dull but dry Black Country.

Operation painting newly skimmed kitchen walls this weekend. First the Primer, then 2 coats of white paint. Then the colour, which we haven't chosen yet! May go on into the week!

Sorry to hear about your DH's accident Susan56 and hope he is not too badly hurt, and you are both getting over the shock flowers

Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning, it is sunny here on the Bristol Channel coast in South Wales.
Slept far better last night. Hospital visit yesterday was fine, doctor pleased with my foot after seeing X-ray. I have a moon boot for the next six weeks and joy of joys, I can take it off to sleep.
Mapleleaf - no accident, I have arthritis in my foot.
Thanks for all your good wishes yesterday. It was lovely to see all the primroses up the banks and at the side of the road, a true sign of Spring.
Susan and DH ?
Hope everyone has a good day.
