I try to read as many postings as I can but often the eyes aren't up to it but I AM sending heaps of love to all the kitcheners, especially those going through sad times.

Soop I wish I could do the ironing for you, I love ironing and used to do it as a job. Get more rest darling.

Soop, as an expert ironer, do you have tips for clogged up steam irons? My relatively new iron refuses to steam any more and descaler has not touched the problem. I am now thinking buy cheaper ones and replace frequently but that is against my eco tendencies.

I think your word “Knackerooned” GQ sums up my entire being these days! It is such a struggle finding that strength to get up and get moving,all be it at a snail`s pace.It may apply to our Kitty and it certainly applies to me!

I am a great lover of “Escape to the Country” and yesterday having had to give in and retire to my bed early I was more than delighted that the county chosen was Pembrokeshire!!

Great timing!

On other occasions they have merely dipped a toe into our county but yesterday all 3 properties I knew well and were more or less in the centre of the county,whilst much of our countryside was shown and not merely our beautifully rugged coastline.But what truly got me excited was finding the 3rd property “Their mystery property” was in fact a converted barn within a mile from us here!!!Even more pleasing hearing the escapees are going to be our new neighbours!

panache I love Escape to the country too and have been watching it on catchup in the evenings as a wind down before bed. I haven’t yet seen the one you mentioned but will be certain to look at it. I often wonder if anyone in these programs ever do buy the houses they look at. Unlike Location Location you don’t really get to know. Be interesting to see if you do get some new neighbours.

No ironing! We had a lovely stroll along the wee road to Skipness that runs beside the sea. Fab view of the wonderful Isle of Arran. We hope to visit it again this summer. The short ferry boat ride takes next to no time.

The seriously strong antibio's are helping to reduce the breast inflammation. We see the GP again on Friday.

Good grief, soop, that inflammation looks absolutely terrifying. Glad your antibio is working and that you are limiting yourself to a gentle stroll. What would I give for a view of Arran. I was brought up with a view of that island, though from further south than you are. I was hoping to hear something from Ann today. soop that looks horrendous- luckily your GP chose the correct antibiotic if it has started to work now. That stroll will mean that you feel tired so no doubt you will be having a rest!

The sun is out, there is a nip in the air but it is lovely being able to hang clothes out to dry. My needs are simple.

I have been following your rules. A lie down with my book for entertainment. A fabulous day. MacSporran has made a great job of the garden. I cannot sit in the sun. The meds say so.

Many of you are on my mind. Ann in particular.

Afternoon everyone. A quieter day today, phew. You’ll be pleased to hear everyone escaped with all limbs intact yesterday . That’s our school holiday duty complete until next week when we have another two days on duty.

Off for an x-ray this morning, I was out before I should have gone in if you see what I mean. I truly don’t understand how the bit of me x-rayed will help diagnose my arm issue, but what do I know? Happy to be proven wrong.

I also was worrying about an ironing backlog, soop. Is there an alternative ironing person? Those antibiotics were certainly needed, here’s hoping for great improvement soon, that image looks more than sore.

Odd bod that I am Escape to the Country just isn’t for me, not sure why. Good job we’re all different .

We had lunch out overlooking the sea so no cooking here today. Hooray from the cook.

You've had a major operation! Your body needs rest to recover. So if the op. was on the right, and you're righthanded, ironing is the last thing you should do.
Living where you do, in a pollution free climate, that should help. I envy you.

It’s been a beautiful blue sky day here ! Grampy has made it through the day ( just) he now has a full blown man flu - and we all know who is getting the blame for that lol !

I like Escape to the Country but a, always stunned by how many people do all that but haven’t even got their own house on the market.

I’m another who was hoping to hear how Ann and her H we’re doing. I hope all is calm with them.

Soop that looks nasty and glad the prescribed antibiotics are working. The snow covered hills are dramatic, I could look at that scene for hours. You must do that and refrain from ironing and any other tasks. Be good to yourself.

Last year we had our house on the market and were approached to have our house on Escape to the Country - we were thrilled because we were very keen to sell. Then came the ‘brief’ !

They wanted us as the second house, the one people rarely go for (!) because we had the kitchen and house type the buyer wanted but we didn’t meet any of the other criteria. These included being within walking distance of a particular school which is about 6 miles away.

We regretfully declined to be featured as it was the week of my mother’s funeral and it was so unlikely to generate the offer we wanted.

It was great to be asked though!

I am very anxious to hear news of Ann and Izabella and synonemous - has anyone hear anything?

Wow! What a fabulous kitchen!

Mrshat thank you! We designed it ourselves and did some of the building. We got no offers because we are out in the countryside and there are no shops. We love it here and have never missed the shops!
