...a card and chocolates from Funky Pigeon, and they had duplicated the order, would you send the second lot of choccies back?

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 13:44:53

I would say the first lot they sent was damaged and they made me take the parcel to the post office and send it back before they would send out a replacement. Which made me cross.

merlotgran Sat 09-Mar-19 13:45:14

No! grin

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 13:48:37

Thank you merlot.

I would email asking what I should do next and they will probably tell you to keep them. You will then have an easy conscience. If you report as damaged they will probably ask for photographic evidence!

I agree with Shysal. They won’t want to pay for the postage so will most likely to tell you to keep them. No need to tell any lies.

maryeliza54 Sat 09-Mar-19 14:04:51

Why lie? I’m sure they would say sorry and keep them. If an item is wrongly delivered I believe the law is clear - the sender is responsible for collecting them so would have to send a courier - they wouldn’t would they? The only time I had a courier collect something wrongly delivered was when six travel costs instead of the one ordered arrived. That was hundreds of £s and obviously they wanted the 5 back ( just as well as they blocked my hall and the box was too heavy to move)

Cots

As they had already sent damaged goods and showed poor customer service as to insist that you have the inconvenience of returning the damaged goods before replacing, I would take it that an extra box is compensation. ? ?

They are again at fault for duplicating the order and you should not be inconvenienced yet again.

maryeliza54 Sat 09-Mar-19 14:21:36

You were daft to take the damaged ones back to the post office

maryeliza54 Sat 09-Mar-19 14:22:38

Your first two posts make completely different points and are different issues

A friend of mine once ordered a vacuum cleaner, which arrived as expected. The next day week she received another one, taken in by her neighbour as she was at work. She lived in a village in the edge of the Pennines. On contacting the company she was told, that as she lived in an isolated place, she should keep them both as they didn't have any more deliveries in that area.
She sold the unwanted one.??

EllanVannin Sat 09-Mar-19 14:24:10

I couldn't keep them. I'd have to phone them up and tell them.

merlotgran Sat 09-Mar-19 14:32:30

To quote Forrest Gump: 'Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.'

In Gonegirl's case, another box of chocolates. grin

Daft quote anyway. All you have to do is read the menu.

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:36:24

Maryeliza The chap at Funky Pigeon said I had to take them back. THEN they would send a replacement. But then they sent the replacement by next day delivery anyway.

Don't worry if you can't keep up.

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:36:37

...munch munch munch

maryeliza54 Sat 09-Mar-19 14:37:47

Do you always do what chaps at Funky Pigeon or anywhere else for tgat matter tell you? Oh dear.

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:37:54

I agree with Cherrytree. She's got it.

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:38:45

They gave me a freepost address.

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:39:17

Well, I wanted the effin' replacement!!!!!!!

KatyK Sat 09-Mar-19 14:39:37

I feel bad now blush We have only ever done one online shop. It was at Christmas some years ago. Included in our order was a bottle of gin. They sent two. We kept them.

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:39:42

that was to Maryeliza

maryeliza54 Sat 09-Mar-19 14:39:53

Your OP was a different question to what you then added in your second post - I can keep up - the real question is why can’t you be clear in the first place?

Gonegirl Sat 09-Mar-19 14:40:13

Don't feel bad Katyk. I'm keeping 'em.
