Good Morning all

It’s getting light here on Severnside and I can see the birds flying around as I sit here in bed with my cuppa.

I shall go swimming this morning then back to do some home working.

Happy pancake day everyone ??

Morning mick, morning all.

It's just starting to get light in North Leicestershire.

DH has an appointment this morning with a different consultant. We have no idea what it's for. Should be interesting!

Good Morning Michael.
When I was coming up to bed last night I found
a huge spider in the living room.

As I am still in my dressing gown I put a plastic jug on it and left it there. Dealing with spiders is one thing doing it in my dressing gown is not on.
I need to be dressed to get it out of the front door.

Morning Mick and all who follow.

Yes, virtually daylight in Kent too. It's grey at the moment but think forecast is good.
DH will be cooking the pancakes tonight, I will mix the batter. Our usual routine.
Need to go into town this morning.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from a windy South Manchester. The outline of the Pennines is quite sharp and clear today with a rose pink sky over that way so perhaps it’s going to be a nice day.

Pancake day - children will be excited today! Do you all remember how we would all go into junior school the next day to boast about how many we’d managed to eat?!

Sallyann51 Tue 05-Mar-19 06:55:41

Good morning all,
Bit overcast but at at least it’s dry here in Surrey at the moment.
Pilates this morning and school run this afternoon. Will make GDs pancakes
Hope everyone has a good a day as possible

Good morning all. Didn't sleep well, high winds and hail here by the sea in South Wales.
DS flying to Glasgow later today for work but has to drive to London first. DH will fetch their little spaniel later and take her for a walk. I am missing these walks which invariably ended with a coffee and some cake or a toasted teacake.

Hope Mr Kitty gets on well with the new consultant.
Have an enjoyable day and best wishes to all those feeling under the weather or housebound.
Hope you are ok Annie.

Good morning from the NE Coast . A beautiful sunrise this morning and the North Sea is as calm as a mill pond . Middle DGD is away on an activity holiday (with the school .... so that’s okay hmm) so a quieter school run for just 2 grandchildren today. Mine aren’t great pancake fans and prefer making them to eating them so we’ll see .

Have a good Tuesday everyone .

Gagagran Tue 05-Mar-19 07:05:17

Good morning everyone! It's a clear bright start to the day here on the south coast but chillier than we like.

DGS, aged 13, 6 foot tall and built like a whippet, managed 14 pancakes (crepes) for tea recently. He has hollow legs when it comes to eating!

Thinking of you and DH kitty and hoping the new consultant brings good news. flowers

Have a good day folks. sunshine

This is an update on my previous post of 06: 25 hrs .

The imprisoned spider is Free Free Free at last. S/he was released into my garden shed a short while ago.

Good morning all.
Chilly here in Stockport but poured with rain last night.
Reminded by the talk of pancakes about whips and tops.
We always got a new one for Shrove Tuesday which was used for a short time then discarded until the next year.
Must admit I wasn't very good.
I was ok with the ones shaped like a beehive but pretty hopeless with the mushroom shaped ones.
Happy childhood days.

The sun is trying to come out here in Letchworth.Am off to the hospital this morning for ultra scan on my thigh due to ongoing pain for several weeks, plus i have check up appointment regarding spinal injections i had done in November last year so that is my day sorted me thinks. Just hoping the buses are running ok and too time as parking at the hospital is a nightmare and so expensive.

annsixty Tue 05-Mar-19 07:20:22

Sorry, thinking of you and your DH kitty.

Urmstongran Tue 05-Mar-19 07:21:31

Ooh you are brave GIROD ?
I salute you!

NanKate Tue 05-Mar-19 07:28:43

Morning Mick and All.

Bright sunshine in South Bucks.

Hope all goes well for MrKitty.

One Shrove Tuesday my mum made too many pancakes and they went hard and thick and she let my sister and me play tennis with the pancakes as a ball. Happy memories.

Grammaretto Tue 05-Mar-19 07:40:11

Good morning all from the bus station. I'm off on a long trip today. It's cold but not raining. I've stupidly left my phone charger and my knitting at home. I'll just gaze out of the window.
Hoping everyone has a good day.

Good morning, bright and sunny in Leicestershire.

So pleased your errant spider has been released int the garden getting it right. I DH used to hate spiders but when I started naming them he became quite fond of him.

ann I remember whip and top time and chalking the tops of them. I remember too at the same time the scent of the daphne bush.

I hope your scan goes okay travel and that mr kitty’s appointment goes well.

Good Morning from a bright Black Country, after a frosty start.

Driving over to Mums, and then out to lunch somewhere, probably our favourite country pub.

Hope all goes well for you travelsafar and also Mr kitty

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a gloriously sunny Birmingham.
Italian this afternoon- we are meeting in an Italian cafe and we are going to ask the proprietor about the cheeses they sell. Then to the cinema this evening to see “If Beale Street Could Talk.” Pancakes for lunch, probably.

Mythbirtthedragon Tue 05-Mar-19 08:02:42

Early good morning for me from east London. (I had an early doctor's appointment). Bright and sunny outside but fresh; put my gloves when I was out. DP and GD still asleep; she has got chicken pox and it seemed easiest for her to stay here for a couple of days as she has been signed off school for a week. Car to the garage at 9 for its new tyre which may impact on whether or not I get to tennis. Have a good day.

Marydoll Tue 05-Mar-19 08:04:53

Good morning all from wet Glasgow, the porch was very cold when I went down to switch of the alarm. Brrrr!

Off to pick up prescriptions and then supermarket, an exciting day. It will improve at lunchtime, when we pick up DGD at nursery, she will dictate the itinerary this afternoon. grin

Scotch pancakes to be made and I will start off (leave to rise overnight in the fridge) the hot cross buns for tomorrow.

I hope all goes well at the hospital Kitty and Travelsafar.

Have a good day, all.
