Good morning Mick and all to follow.
Damp and grey in Kent but last nights wind has died down. Bin day today and our food waste bin ended up in the middle of the road 50 yds away !
DH has a gardening job today, if it's not too damp. So I will be on chauffeuring duties.

Morning Mick, morning all.

It was windy overnight in North Leicestershire and is looking bloody today.

We are shopping for birthday presents today. We have 4 in the next couple of weeks.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Good morning from Birmingham, where it is calm after yesterday’s high winds. I’m meeting a friend for coffee and a walk in the park this morning, then I have my writing class this afternoon. Have a good day everyone!

Morning nina.

Morning Dora.

Good morning from the south coast, everyone.

Freya flattened our daffodils yesterday which was rather mean! She's gone on her way now, thankfully, but it looks very damp outside. Daylight is lengthening noticeably at both ends of the day, which I love.

We have 4 March birthdays coming up too kitty with DD, DDiL and DB all on 7 March and DS on 16th. All the wider family birthdays seem to "clump" together too. Very odd!

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Morning Mick and All.

Sunny here in South Bucks.

DS stayed with us last night as he is on tour for the next 2 weeks, it was lovely getting him his favourite food and just sitting and chatting over supper. Just like the old days.

I’m wondering where your mystery tour is off to at Easter Mick.

BlueSapphire Mon 04-Mar-19 07:16:08

Good morning all; bright and dry in Northampton, and the wind has dropped.
A nice lunch out yesterday to celebrate DS's 40th birthday, then back to their house for cake and more wine. I got home and fell asleep in front of the tv!
Yoga this morning, then must plan the food for wine club next week as I have just realised I am hosting it. I thought it was the week after! And I must choose the wines - I am thinking of doing South African reds.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. After a very breezy night, it seems slightly calmer in South Yorkshire today and the sun is shining. It is now my turn to be full of snot and woe, so DH may have to do the school run on his own. Have a good day folks!

Beechnut Mon 04-Mar-19 07:19:34

Good Morning all.

I’m in agreement with you Gagagran about the longer daylight hours.

It is dry outside with no wind.

DD came yesterday and SiL did some outside jobs for me.

Off out to post a letter later and look for some card.

Hope you all have a good day ?

Good Morning everyone , cold , still and dry here , off to inspect a friends garden this morning . She is new to horticultural delights and wants us to tell her if anything still lives

NannyJan53 Mon 04-Mar-19 07:21:13

Good morning from a bright and calm Black Country.

Monday 'Walking for Health' walk this morning, then back to catch up on jobs at home. I am slowly getting to know and chat to regulars, one lady lives near me and grew up in the same town!

I had a mystery day trip with lunch last year Mick, we ended up in Bridgnorth, which is 25 minutes drive from me smile because the coach had other pick ups, I was sitting on there for over an hour before we arrived.

Enjoy your Monday everyone.

Good Morning from a calm South Welsh Coast. Freya has been and gone but was pretty mean while she was here.
Liked your parting shot NanKate ?

Re birthdays, we have three this month including DD and DiL.
DH will be off shortly to have stitches out in his head.
Have a good day all.

gillybob Mon 04-Mar-19 07:27:59

A windy start to Monday here on the NE coast. We’ve had heavy rain all night.

School runs and then off to “that place” yuk .

Have a good Monday everyone.

oldgaijin Mon 04-Mar-19 07:38:19

Good morning all from a dreich, grey Aberdeenshire.
It's damp and uninviting outside and I ache from yesterday's gardening exertions so it looks like another pottering/pampering day. Shall have to go out at some point to try and see a diabetic nurse as my blood sugar tester has died and shall have to slay the dragons guarding the door of the surgery before I can see one!
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning bright and sunny here in Leicestershire. Shopping this morning and the obligatory coffee out my DH insists on.

Then must put in the plants I bought yesterday at the garden centre.

Marydoll Mon 04-Mar-19 07:40:01

Good morning for a breezy Glasgow.

DH is off to play golf, ?️‍♂️ it's all uphill and I suspect it's blowing a gale at the top. My idea of hell! grin
I shall just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Still debating whether to go into town or not this morning, I'm really stiff.

Your trip sounds interesting, Mick. Wherever it is, I'm sure you will have a great time.

I believe it's Panache's birthday today, happy birthday! flowers.?

Good morning from a bright, sunny E. Northants. Still a bit of wind but nothing like last night. Strange, scary noise came from the roof whilst I was in bed - I haven't ventured out yet to see if Freya did any damage to it. Bit of shopping to do this morning, I need some wood to repair the shed door. Taking granddaughter to see her new house later. Hope it's a pleasant day for everyone.

Susan56 Mon 04-Mar-19 08:28:41

Good morning all.Dull and Damp again in Shropshire.Had planned to start sorting out some cupboards today,it could be a long job as DH has decided to help and he will want to keep everything?oldgaijin, when my blood sugar tester died,it just needed a new battery which I was able to sort without having to try and battle for an appointment at the surgery.May be worth a try??

Brunette10 Mon 04-Mar-19 08:38:08

Good Morning from a dull and windy Fife. Looks as if it will be like this for the day. Later up today, sore throat has returned. Will keep busy in the house and rest when necessary. Happy Birthday Panacge flowers. Hope all is well and today is good for everyone.

NanKate Mon 04-Mar-19 08:43:18

panache’s virtual party is in full swing on Soop’s thread if anyone wants to send a message.

I love ‘slay the dragon’ quote Oldgaijin ?

Urmstongran Mon 04-Mar-19 08:52:12

Good morning everyone from a cold but bright South Manchester. Boy that was some wind in the night!

No plans today. Nice to just be cosy and well.

Have a good Monday everybody.
