oldgaijin, glad the dragon is down if not slayed and a new gadget is ready for you.

oldgaijin Mon 04-Mar-19 12:58:41

Hi Susan...Have tried two brand new batteries and the monitor is still dead. I think it's been on the blink for a few days as have been getting funny results in spite of not eating anything different. One Dragon now lies battered and bruised and I pick up a new gadget this afternoon.

Hello everyone. Late again. I keep forgetting to go on here . Windy but bright bitter cold here in Huthwaite. Washing and cleaning today.

Good afternoon everyone.
I’m late posting today as I had a busy morning sorting DH pack up out before he set off to work and then I went to my coffee morning group followed by a couple of errands to do. So, I’m ready for a sit and a perusal of GN. ?
It’s still quite breezy here in South Yorkshire but it’s bright. There were some hefty gusts through the night, but the wind didn’t really disturb me too much. Apart from the daffodils taking a battering, everything else seems ok.
Got a few indoor jobs to do this afternoon and then I’m hoping to finish the book I’ve been reading.
Hope the rest of the day is good for you all. ?

Good morning, late post as I've been to the hairdresser. Very little sign of Freya in east London and brightening up nicely. Tennis at 12.30 and off to look after GD after who may or may not have chicken pox. Have a good day.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It has stopped raining and turning out nice. Can we ever trust the forecasts?
I've made a list of all the to "do jobs" today. I've ticked 3 now. 4 more to do but more keep being added.
Hope you all have a good day.

Hello Nanny41 it’s great to hear about what the temperature is in other countries. Are you from the U.K.?

Auntieflo Mon 04-Mar-19 11:17:21

A belated good morning Michael, Annie, and all. Have been slaving over a hot washing machine, third load is whirling around now, then just one more to go! DH has been to the tip with his old office chair and a couple of bags of garden waste. While he was out, I ventured into the loft, to bring down a couple of wicker hearts, that I have put on the wall, replacing two small pictures. They are off to the charity shop tomorrow. Just finishing my coffee, then back upstairs to re-make the bed. We seem to have survived Freya, but I must try and plant out some primulas that I bought on Friday, it’s been too wet until today.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning,I always get my GN late, its just arrived but I will say good morning. Its a dull but mild day in Sweden, have a good week everyone, and keep safe.

Good morning All x.
Well I was waiting for all kinds of crashes and bangs from Freya---------but it didn't happen, fortunately, just a few blasts but nothing to get excited about. Commiserations to those who did suffer ! I hate the gales.

Don't quite know what's happening so far today but a workman/men is due to appear at some point. It's a nuisance when they can't give a time as you remain on pins with whatever you do or start to do.

Nice and sunny, cool breeze but pleasant and getting lighter, yippee !

Have a good day whatever you do.

Morning all from a sunny South Notts. The sky is a pale blue which is so nice after yesterday's rain which was pretty heavy. Going out for a drive later.

harrigran Mon 04-Mar-19 09:15:35

Good morning from a bright NE but the gale force wind continues, it has been a noisy night.
I don't think I will be walking anywhere today, paperwork I think.

Good morning everyone from a cold but bright South Manchester. Boy that was some wind in the night!

No plans today. Nice to just be cosy and well.

Have a good Monday everybody.

panache’s virtual party is in full swing on Soop’s thread if anyone wants to send a message.

I love ‘slay the dragon’ quote Oldgaijin ?

Good Morning from a dull and windy Fife. Looks as if it will be like this for the day. Later up today, sore throat has returned. Will keep busy in the house and rest when necessary. Happy Birthday Panacge flowers. Hope all is well and today is good for everyone.

Good morning all.Dull and Damp again in Shropshire.Had planned to start sorting out some cupboards today,it could be a long job as DH has decided to help and he will want to keep everything?oldgaijin, when my blood sugar tester died,it just needed a new battery which I was able to sort without having to try and battle for an appointment at the surgery.May be worth a try??

Good morning from a bright, sunny E. Northants. Still a bit of wind but nothing like last night. Strange, scary noise came from the roof whilst I was in bed - I haven't ventured out yet to see if Freya did any damage to it. Bit of shopping to do this morning, I need some wood to repair the shed door. Taking granddaughter to see her new house later. Hope it's a pleasant day for everyone.

Good morning for a breezy Glasgow.

DH is off to play golf, ?️‍♂️ it's all uphill and I suspect it's blowing a gale at the top. My idea of hell! grin
I shall just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Still debating whether to go into town or not this morning, I'm really stiff.

Your trip sounds interesting, Mick. Wherever it is, I'm sure you will have a great time.

I believe it's Panache's birthday today, happy birthday! flowers.?

dragonfly46 Mon 04-Mar-19 07:39:36

Good morning bright and sunny here in Leicestershire. Shopping this morning and the obligatory coffee out my DH insists on.

Then must put in the plants I bought yesterday at the garden centre.

oldgaijin Mon 04-Mar-19 07:38:19

Good morning all from a dreich, grey Aberdeenshire.
It's damp and uninviting outside and I ache from yesterday's gardening exertions so it looks like another pottering/pampering day. Shall have to go out at some point to try and see a diabetic nurse as my blood sugar tester has died and shall have to slay the dragons guarding the door of the surgery before I can see one!
Have a good day everyone.

gillybob Mon 04-Mar-19 07:27:59

A windy start to Monday here on the NE coast. We’ve had heavy rain all night.

School runs and then off to “that place” yuk .

Have a good Monday everyone.

Good Morning from a calm South Welsh Coast. Freya has been and gone but was pretty mean while she was here.
Liked your parting shot NanKate ?

Re birthdays, we have three this month including DD and DiL.
DH will be off shortly to have stitches out in his head.
Have a good day all.

NannyJan53 Mon 04-Mar-19 07:21:13

Good morning from a bright and calm Black Country.

Monday 'Walking for Health' walk this morning, then back to catch up on jobs at home. I am slowly getting to know and chat to regulars, one lady lives near me and grew up in the same town!

I had a mystery day trip with lunch last year Mick, we ended up in Bridgnorth, which is 25 minutes drive from me smile because the coach had other pick ups, I was sitting on there for over an hour before we arrived.

Enjoy your Monday everyone.
